A. As a Micro-Topping: 1. all concrete surfaces should be properly prepared before application. 2. Saturate area with water to ensure
adequate drying time. Do not leave standing water. 3. Apply with a broom, squeegee, roller or brush over the entire roof surface
creating and even film. Do not apply over existing waterproof coatings. Allow a minimum of 7 days before the application of a roof
sealer.
B. As a Roof Primer: 1. Apply one coat of undiluted Waterproof Primer & Admix at a rate of 125 sq. ft. per gallon using a roller or
brush. Make sure to thoroughly work the product into the concrete substrate. Additional coats may be required over extremely
porous concrete. Do not allow the bonding agent to dry. The roof coating should be applied while the primer is tacky/wet to avoid
bong breakage.
Mix with Portland Cement & Quikrete Marble Sand
Micro-Topping Mix
Method: Roller, industrial brush, squeegee and floor scrub.
Clean UP: Clean application tools and hands with soap and water
A. As a Micro-Topping: 1. Premix the Masterflex Waterproof Primer & Admix before use to guarantee a uniform mix of all
components. 2. Dilute Waterproof Primer & Admix with water achieve a 1 to 1 mix ratio. 3. Pour ¾ of the Waterproof Primer &
Admix and water dilution inside the mixing pail. 4. Slowly add the recommended sand and cement to the pail, while mixing with a
slow speed drill and mixing paddle. 5. Add the remaining ¼ of liquid. 6. Thoroughly mix for 3 minutes for a lump free consistency;
let it rest; and then mix for one additional minute. 7. It is recommended to prepare enough material for the complete application to
avoid the formation of cold joints.
B. As a Roof Primer: Thoroughly mix before use. Do not dilute. Waterproof Primer & Admix is ready to use.
SECTION 8 – SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces should be clean, sound and free of dirt, oil, grease, paint, curing compounds and form release agents. All loose materials and
deteriorated concrete should be removed to ensure proper bonding. Pressure washing is highly recommended.
