SPEC DATA SHEET
Masterflex® Reflective is an ultra white, high reflective,100% acrylic elastomeric roof sealer, designed for fixing leaks in roofs and walls,
caused by capillarity, cracks or joints when adding new constructions to existing ones. It is a product that is internally plasticized in order to
retain its mechanical properties and its adhesion, even after years of exposure to the sun and the rain. It also contains heat reflective
pigments and additives that provide an excellent, highly protective barrier which reflects the sun’s heat and destructive UV rays. In turn,
this helps to cool surfaces and leads to a reduction of interior home and building temperature, energy savings and cooling costs.
Masterflex® Reflective leaves a brilliant ultra white finish, reducing surface heat absorption up 20°F.
Masterflex® Reflective is used for waterproofing and protection of concrete, wood, roof tiles, galvanized metal (exposed for some time),
asphalt and built up roofs, whit the additional advantage of lowering interior home and building temperature
Cool Roof Technology provides maximum sun
light reflection resulting in lower room
temperature and energy saving
Highly reflective finish
Superfast dry early rain resistance technology

SECTION 9 - APPLICATION
SECTION 10 APPLICATION TOOLS
1 gallon and 5 gallon pails
The roof or surface should be free from dust, sand, cement, fungus and strange objects. A pressure washer machine is recommended. Before
applying Masterflex® Reflective, improve water drainage where it is necessary and repair areas where standing water last one day or more.
Less severe pounding areas must be re-coated annually with Masterflex® Reflective. This product will resist standing water (for 100 hours).
However, we recommend repairing and correcting excessive pounding water and improperly drained areas for a better and efficient sealing by
using the Leveling Repair from Master. Roof with excessive pounding water and improperly drained areas require annual maintenance,
applying two (2) coats of Masterflex® Reflective.
How to Correct Cracks: Make sure all joints and cracks are sealed with a putty knife by applying Master Elastomeric Crack Filler and the
Master Fiberglass Patching Weave over cracks, seams, flashing and around any standing object, about two inches to both sides and let dry for
24 hours before applying Masterflex®. Apply Master Elastometric Crack Filter with a putty knife. While product is wet, roll out polyester
weave. While product is still wet, apply another coat of Master Elastomeric Crack Filler over the polyester weave.
It can be applied using a thick hair nap roller or airless spray. A brush can be used in small areas.
Airless Machine Procedure: Mix Masterflex® Reflective preferably with a mechanical agitator. Remove the filter from the suction bomb
and the machine’s filter. Program the machine to apply the product with 1,400 to 1,750 psi and use a fan with of 6 to control the material
overspray. Use a gun tip from .29” to .41”. Let dry for 12 hours and for longer durability apply a second coat. If the roof i s too hot, you can
spray it with water to avoid sealer from fast drying. Select a warm, clear sunny day. Make sure there is no forecast of rain. Keep surface
moisture free at least six hours after application.
Before attempting to apply, mix the product well in a circular upward-downward motion, preferably with a mechanical agitator. For a longer
durability, let it dry for 12 hours and then apply a second coat.
Recommended Film Thickness: 20 mils dry / 40 mils wet
Coverage: (One Coat)
Concrete surface: 85 square feet per gallon @ 10 MDFT/ 425square feet per pail @ 10 MDTF
Metal Surface: 170 square feet per gallon @ 5 MDTF/ 850 square feet per pail @ 5 MDTF
Wood Surface: 85 square feet per gallon @ 10 MDTF/ 425square feet per pail @ 10 MDTF
Built- up roofs: 42 square feet per gallon @ 20 MDTF/ 210 square feet per pail @ 20 MDTF
This sealer contains acrylic resins. It can cause eye, skin, or throat irritation. Do not take internally. Close container after each use. When
spray applying, use respiratory protection (NIOSH/MSHA TC23C or equivalent), eye protection and protective clothing. For more information
read the MSDS, available at Master paints and Chemical Corp. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

more information, request Material Safety Data Sheet of the product available at Master Paints & Chemical Corp.
SECTION 8 SURFACE PREPARATION
WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust or fumes. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST OR FUMES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT
WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a properly fitted NIOSH approved respirator and prevent skin contact to control
lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you star, find out how to protect yourself and your family by
contacting the USEPA National lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424 LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
Two coats must be applied in order to get the recommended dry film thickness (MDTF).
Thinning: Not recommended.
Dry time: 1-2 hours to touch / 12 hours to recoat
