ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MD – 50/60
END FRAME SEAT END FRAME
STEP-I
Unpack, inspect and lay the parts on a clean, flat, soft surface to avoid marring the wood.
NOTE: During assembly of furniture please m atch joints with the corresponding letter or
numbers stamped on the wood.

STEP-II
Lay the SEAT down flat on a clean,
smooth surface. Attach the FRONT and BACK STRETCHER in to the SEAT as shown in
the assembly pictures.
STEP-III
Slide both END FRAMES onto the tenons of the SEAT and the FRONT
and BACK STRETCHERS. Using a r ubber mallet or a regular ham mer
with a wood block between the ham mer and the wood, drive the tenons
and mortise holes until all the joints fit snugly together.

STEP-IV
Carefully hammer dowels into respective joints.
Make sure not to hit othe r parts of the bench. To
avoid dimpling the wood, we suggest you place a
block of wood between dowels head and ham mer
head for the last few blows. If dowels are not
completely flush, use a saw to cut the e nd and then sandpaper sm ooth the tops (DO NOT
FORCE THE DOWELS IN FURTHER THAN TH EY WILL GO). Insert knock down bolts
into respective pre-drilled holes in the SEAT . Secure bolts with proper hand held screw
driver. Use of a power screw driver could damage the bench.
