ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SG - 30
RIGHT END FRAME BACK LEFT END FRAME
SEAT
STEP-I
Unpack, inspect and lay the parts on a clean, flat, soft surface to avoid marring the wood.
NOTE: During assembly of the furniture pleas e match all joints with the corresponding
letters or numbers stamped on the furniture.

STEP-II
Fit the BACK tenons into the LEFT END FRAME
mortise holes. If necessary, gently rock the BACK
while pushing the tenons into the mortise holes until all
joints fit snugly together.
STEP-III
Place the SEAT against the LEFT END FRAME as shown in the
assembly diagram and insert the back SEAT tenon into the mortise hole
at the center of the bottom rail of th e BACK. Again, please be sure to
match up the stam ped letters or numbers on the SEAT and the END
FRAME. There is a front and a back to the SEAT.
STEP-IV
Slide the FRONT SEAT RAIL tenon into the LEFT END FRAME
mortise hole. Make sure that th e rounded edge of the FRONT SEAT
RAIL is facing up. Place the SEAT brace tenon into theFRONT SEAT
RAIL mortise hole.
STEP-V
Fit the rem aining RIGHT END FR AME mortise holes over and onto
the BACK and FRONT SEAT RAIL tenons. Using a rubber m allet or
regular hammer with a wood block between the hammer and the wood,
drive the tenons and mortise holes together until all the joints fit snugly
together
STEP-VI
Hammer all dowels into their respective joints as shown in the assembly diagrams above.
Please make sure not to hit other parts of the bench. To avoid dim pling the wood, we
suggest that you place a block of wood between the dowel head and the hammer head for
the last few blows. If the dowels are not comple tely flush, use a saw to cut the ends and
then use the sandpaper to sm ooth the tops. Inse rt the brass screws into their respective
pre-drilled SEAT FRAME screw holes (see a ssembly diagram). Do not ham mer in the
screws, but drive them in with a proper screw driver. Insert eye screws into pre-drilled
holes on the outside of the END FRAMES.
