securethe Shade(#8).
5. Install uptoa100watt mediumbaseincandescent lightBulb(#9)or
equivalentstandardbasecompactfluorescent lightbulb(neitherincluded)

1. AttachtheMountingStrap(#14)totheOutletBox(#10)usingthetwo OutletBoxScrews
(#16).
2. AdjusttheChain (#19)torequiredheightbyliftingthefixtureandattachingtheQuick
Link(#3)toalinkofChain(#19)closertotheceiling.Thefixturecanbe raisedand
lowered in thismanneruntilthedesiredheightis achieved.Next,usepliersto twist open
(cover thechainwithcloth topreventdamage)thefirstunused linkofChain(#19).
Removeandsave theexcesschain.Pull theexcess fixturewiresthrough theNipple(#15)
intothe OutletBox(#10).Wires maybeleftatfull length orshortenedasdeterminedby
spaceintheOutletBox (#10)to make thewireconnections.
3. Wrapthegroundwire fromthefixture aroundtheGroundScrew(#12) on theMounting
Strap(#14),andthenconnectthegroundwirefromthefixture totheground wire from the
OutletBox(#10).Connectthewire without writingonit(withraisedribs)fromthefixture
tothewhitewire(neutralwire)from theOutletBox (#10).Connectthewirewith writing
onitfromthefixturetotheblackwire(livewire) fromtheOutletBox(#10).Cover the
connectionsusingtheWireConnectors(#11).Wrapthewireconnections with electrical
tapeforamoresecure connection.Position thewiresback insidetheOutletBox(#10).
Note: Ifyouhaveelectricalquestions,consultyourlocalelectricalcodeforapproved
groundingmethods.
4. Place theCanopy(#1) over the Nipple(#15)all thewaytotheceiling.TightentheRing
(#4)ontothe ScrewCollar Loop(#2) untiltheCanopy(#1)isheldfirmlyagainstthe
ceiling.
5. Installation is complete.Turn on thepower atthecircuitbreakerorfusebox.Turnthelight
switchontoactivatethefixture.
