Mounting Instruction 0179--020 2
The PT100 sensor you have just received completely replaces the previous PT100 sen-
sors. The new type is equipped with a G1/4B thread for fitting in the compressor block
or in the sensor pockets of the piping system.
Old compressors and plants can be executed with a G1/2”B thread and in such cases
you must use the enclosed thread adaptor. This adaptor is executed in such a way that
it seals automatically when tightened. Hence, no sealing ring is needed.
When mounting the new PT100 sensor, always use the enclosed DKA sealing ring as
showninfig.1.
As this PT100 sensor is used with a different type of plug, this plug must be fitted on the
cable instead of the former one. The procedure is described below.
Mounting
Dismantle the socket by removing the
centre screw and take out the inner part
using a small screwdriver. Mount the
wires through the cable gland according
to fig. 2 and 3 as well as the schematic
control diagram in fig. 5 from the current
wiring diagram.

Terminal number in plug
The stated numbers, shown in fig. 3, are cast into the end surfaces of the plug in very
small figures.
We recommend mounting the wires on the terminals before mounting the connector on
the PT100 in order to avoid any distortion of the terminals.

No number.
Use it as terminal no. “4”
The PT100 sensor is a 4 wiring
sensor. The flat terminal is terminal
no. 4 and not “ground”. Therefore,
do not mix the PT100 socket with
other sockets such as those of
pressure transducers.
Fig. 3
When refitting the plug, terminal 4 is flat compared to the other terminals in the plug.
Note this to ensure that the electrical connection is correct.
Mount the rubber gasket and the socket and tighten the centre screw in the socket.
By loosening the union nut, pos 1, and
the centre screw, pos. 2, the terminal box
can be turned in order to make the
branch point in the desired direction.
See fig. 4.
