1. ReadallinstructionsbeforeusingtheLenoxxEC06EvaporativeCooler.
2. Close
supervisionisnecessarywhenany applianceisusedbyornearchildren.
3. DoNOTusetheEvaporativeCoolerforotherthanitsintendeduse.
4. Beforeturningon,ensuretheelectricalvoltageandfrequencyofthecircuitcorrespondstothose
indicatedontheratinglabeloftheappliance.

Toprotectagainsttheriskofelectricshock,donotimmersethemotorunit,cordsetorpluginwateror
anyotherliquid,orrinseunderatap.
6. TheEvaporativeCoolerisnotintendedtobeoperatedbymeansofanexternaltimeroranytypeof
separateremotecontrolsystem.
7. Theuseofattachmentsnotrecommendedorsoldbythemanufacturermaycausefire,electricshockor
injury.
8. ThisEvaporativeCoolerisintendedtobeusedindoorsforhouseholduseonly.
9. Beforeuse,alwaysensuretheEvaporativeCoolercontainswater.Aftercleaning,th ewatertankshould
beemptied.
10. Whenhumidityishigh,theEvaporativeCoolershouldbeoperatedatnormalfantype.
11. DoNOTuseanextensioncordunlesscompletelynecessarywiththisproduct.Ifanextensioncordis
usedpleaseensurethatithasaratingequalorexceedingtheratingofthisappliance.
12. DoNOTpullorcarrybycord,usecordasahandle,closeadooronthecord,orpullcordaroundsharp
edgesorcorners.Keepcordawayfromheatedsurfaces.

14. Alwaysunplugtheappliancewhennotinuse.Todisconnectfromthepowersupply,griptheplugand

operatethisproductwithwethands,submergeunderwater
orspillliquidsintotheproduct.

Please remove all parts from the packaging and read through the manual thoroughly beforeusing for the first
time.Ensureallpartsindicatedintheabovepartslisthavebeenincludedinthegiftbox.

Toswitchevaporativecooleron,presstheON/OFF(1)button.Pressag aintoturnoff.
2.SpeedSelectorYoucanchoosefrom3speedsbypressingtheSPEEDselectorbutton(2)
LOW,MEDIUMandHIGH.
3.ModePresstheMODEbutton(3)tochoose
fromthebelowoptions:
NormalContinuousoperationatyourchosenspeedsetting.
NaturalInnaturalmode,theCoolerwillcycledependingonthespeedsettingchosen:
HIGHcyclesbetweenHIGH/MED/LOW/OFF
MEDIUMcyclesbetweenMED/LOW/OFF
LOWcyclesbetweenLOW/OFF
SleepInthismode,the
CoolercyclesbetweenMED/LOW/OFF.Toactivatesleepmode,youwillneedtosetthe
TIMERtotheperiodofthetimethatyoudesire.After thetimerhasexpired,theEvaporativeCoolerwillswitch
OFFautomaticallyandgotosleep.
NOTE: ONE fullcycle is approximately100 seconds.TheCooler
will stopblowing air duringthis cycle for afew
seconds.ThisisanormalpartoftheNaturalandSleepmodecycle.
4.Timer‐Thetimeroptionsarefor0.5,1.5,3.5or7.5hours.PresstheTIMERbutton(4)oncetoselect0.5hours.
The 0.5 will illuminate
on the control panel. Press again to select 1.5 hours (both 0.5 and 1 will illuminate).
Pressing3timeswillsetthetimerfor3.5hours(0.5,1and2willilluminate).Tosetthemaximumof7.5hours,
presstheTIMERfourtimes(all4lightswillbeilluminated).
NOTE:Thenumbersilluminatedonthedisplayneedtobeaddedtogether,andthetotalwillequalthelengthof
timethattheEvaporative Coo lerstaysonfor.Thesenu mbersarerepresentedby0.5,1,2and 4onthecontrol
panel.
5.OscillatePresstheOSCILLATEbutton(5)
toturnontheautomatichorizontallouvrefunction.The indicator
lightwillilluminatewhenthis functionischosen.Theverticaldirectioncanalsobeadjustedmanuallybymoving
thelouvreinthedirectionyouwish.

6.CoolPresstheCOOLbutton(6)toswitchtocoolairflow.

RemoteControlTheEvaporativeCoolercomeswitharemotecontrolunitformoreconvenience.Theremote
requires2xCR2032lithiumcoinbatteries(included).Thefunctionsontheremotecontrolarethesameasthose
onthecontrolpanelofthemainunit.
Operation
1. PlacetheEvaporativeCooler
onalevel,drysurface.
2. Openthewatertankcoverandpourincleanwaterorice.Ifyouuseice,youwill
actuallygetacoolerairtemperature.DoNOTfillthewatertankaboveMAXlevel
indicatorinthewatertank.
NOTE:Iffreshwater/iceisrequired
fornextuse,(ortoemptythewatertank)placeawatercontainerorbucket
undertheplughole(foundonthebottomoftheunit)andremovetherubberplug.Theresidualwaterwillthen
drainoutfromthewatertank.
3. SelectthewindspeedbypressingtheSPEEDbutton.Pleasenotethedefaultwindspeedismediumwhen
youfirstpresstheONbutton.
4. PresstheMODEbuttontochooseyourdesiredsetting.
5. SetthetimerbypressingtheTIMERbutton.Theminimumsettingis0.5hrandmaximum
is7.5hr.
6. Toturnonhorizontaloscillation,presstheOSCILLATEbutton.Youcancontroltheverticalflowbymanually
adjustingtheverticallouvresontheEvaporativeCooler.
7. Toutilisethehumidifyingfunction,filltheColdPAKwithcoldwaterthenplaceinthefreezeruntiltheyare
frozen.
Next,placeinsidethewatertank.Thiswilllowerthewatertemperature,andtheEvaporativeCooler
willbegintohumidifytheair.

Cleaning,CareandMaintenance
NOTE: Always unplug the Evaporative Cooler from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool before servicing,
relocating,cleaning,orstoringit.
Removetherubberplugfromthebackoftheunitanddrainthewater(placeabucketbeneaththeplugforthe
watertodraininto).(seeabovefigure1&2whererubberplugisfound)
Cleanthebodywithasoft,slightlydampcloth;donotuseabrasiveorcorrosivep roducts.
Cleantheexteriorsurfacesonlybywipingwithasoft,dampcloth.Dustcanberemovedfromthe
grilleusinga
smallvacuum.
DoNOTdisassemblethemotorhousingofthisproductforcleaningofinternalparts,asdoingsomayresultin
productdamageandwillvoidthewarranty.
DonotimmerseanypartoftheEvaporativeCoolerinwaterorotherliquid:
It
isessentialthatthemotor'sairventsbekeptfreefromdustandlint.
IftheEvaporativeCoolerisnotusedforlongperiods(eg.overwinter),itisrecommendedtostoretheCooler
awayinitsoriginalpackaginginacooldryplace.
