PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above. Remove
the old xture from the ceiling, including the old mounting strap.
1.Fromthepartsbagremovethemountingstrapassembly.Oneendofnipple(F)shouldbe
attachedtomountingstrap(A)withhexnutandwasher(C&D)inplace.Theotherendshouldhave
canopyloop(H)attached.Attachmountingstrap(A)tothejunctionboxusingmountingscrews(B)
andascrewdriver.Tightensecurely.
2.Unscrewcanopyloopcollar(I)fromcanopyloop(H).Passcanopy(G)overthemountedcanopy
looptotesttheheight.Approximatelyhalfofthecanopyloop’sexteriorthreadsshouldbeexposed,
andthecanopyloopcollarshouldtsnuglyontothecanopyloop.Removecanopy(G)andadjust
theheightofnipple(F)andcanopyloop(H)untilthedesiredheightisreached.Removecanopy(G)
andcanopyloop(H)andplaceaside.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE
3.Centerrod(S)isonthexture’swires,butnotconnectedtothexture.Connectcenterrod(S)to
lampbody(Q)atpost(R).Pullthewiresuntiltautandpullthewiresandcenterrod(S)throughthe
centerofmetalplate(M).
4.Cables(O)maybebundledtogether.Useaknifeandcarefullycuttheplasticties.Cables(O)
havelargeheads(T)attachedtotheends.Holdheads(T)andslidecables(O)throughthehooked
holesonmetalplate(M).Whenthecablesreachthebackofthehookedholes,letheads(T)come
torestonmetalplate(M).Seethediagram.
5.Pullthewiresuntiltaut.Slidetopcap(U)downthewiresandontometalplate(M).Threadtop
cap(U)intocenterrod(S).Threadtoploop(L)downontotopcap(U)andpullthewiresuntiltaut.
FINISHING THE INSTALLATION
8.Raisecanopy(G)totheceiling.Slidecanopyloop(H)andcanopyloopcollar(I)upbeneaththe
canopy.Tightlythreadcanopyloopcollar(I)ontocanopyloop(H)tosecurecanopy(G)inplace.
9.Installlightbulbs(notincluded)inaccordancewiththexture’sspecications.Donotexceed
themaximumrecommendedwattage.
Yourinstallationiscomplete.Turnonthepowerandtestthexture.

CONNECTING THE WIRES
7.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.Cutawayany
excesswireaddingatleast8to10inchesofwiretothedesiredlength.Threadthexture’swires
throughcanopyloop(H)andnipple(F).Refertothewiringdiagramandattachthexture’swires
tothepowersupplywiresfromthejunctionbox.ConnectHottoHot,NeutraltoNeutral,and
GroundtoGround.Twisttheendsofthewirepairstogether,andthentwistonawireconnector.
Makesurealltwistsareinthesamedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwirecomingfromthe
junctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)onthemountingbracket/mountingstrapandwrapthe
xture’sgroundwirearoundthegroundscrew.Useascrewdrivertotightenthetopofground
screw(E)ontothewiresandintothemountingbracket/mountingstrap.Tuckthewiresintothe
junctionbox.
6.Bymeasuring,determinethecorrectnumberofchainlinksneededforproperhangingheight.Ifnecessary,useapairofpliers
toopenandremoveanyexcesschain(J).Attachonechainconnector(K)toeachendofchain(J).Twistthesidelocktosecurethe
connectorinplace.Connectoneofchainconnectors(K)totoploop(L)andclosethatchainconnectoraswell.Feedthexture’swires
upthroughthechain(everythreelinksorso),pullingthewiresuntiltaut.Usethefreechainconnector(K)toattachchain(J)tocanopy
loop(H).Untwistcanopyloopcollar(I)fromcanopyloop(H)toallowcanopy(G)tobeaddedtothechain.Feedthewiresupthrough
thechain.Allowcanopy(G)todropdownontothechain/wire.
NOTE: Please use the attached hexagonal spanner tool to
tighten the center rod until the cables are tight. Then double
check that the shade is straight.
