INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR # 1737-1
WARNING! SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.

Assembling The Fixture (See Fig.1)
1. Carefully unpack your new fixture and put all the parts on a
clear area. Make sure not to misplace any parts which are
necessary for installation.
2. Shut off the power supply at the fuse box or circuit breaker
box. Remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old
Crossbar.
3. Thread the stem with hex nut (F) into the coupling (I) and
lock it in place tightly by hex nut;
4. Slide the tube (G), cap (E), tube (C) over the stem (F) into
order, then secure with knurled nut (B);
5. Thread the fixture loop (A) onto stem (F) into tightly;
6. Assemble the glass diffuser (L), rubber washer (Z) onto the
screw (K) and secure with ball nut (D);
7. Install the bottom end of rod (H) through the holes on the
bracket (M)a little and attach the top end of rod (H)onto the
cap (E) and secure with ball nut (D);
8. Thread the nipple with hex nut (O) into the coupling (N) and
lock it in place with hex nut tightly;
9. Insert the center tube (P), check ring (Q),cushion ring
(R),rubber washer (S), glass shade (T), and steel washer
(U) onto the nipple(O)in order, then secure with hex nut (V);
10. Insert the cap(X) onto the nipple (O) and secure with
finial(Y);
MOUNTING THE FIXTURE (See Fig.2)
1. Thread Nipple into Loop until snug.
2. Thread other end of Nipple with Loop attached into
crossbar until snug.
3. Place Lock Washer over end of Nipple protruding through
crossbar and thread Hex Nut onto nipple until tight.
4. Take the crossbar assembly and mount to ceiling junction
box with junction box screws. Tighten screws securely with
screwdriver.
5. By measuring determine correct number of links needed
for proper hanging height.
6. Attach one end of the chain to the chain link. Slip Lock
Collar and Canopy over the chain.
7. Open the other end link of the chain and lift the fixture to
attach to the ceiling loop, close the chain link.
8. Lace the fixture’s wires through the chain links and pull
until taut. Feed the fixture wires through the Loop and
Nipple and pull until tight.

CONNECTING THE WIRES (Fig. 3)
14. At this point, connect the electrical wire as shown in figure 3,
making sure that all wire connectors are secured. Wrap the fixture
ground wire around the ground screw of the crossbar and then tighten
the screw. Connect the remaining fixture ground wire to the supply
ground wire using a wire nut. Otherwise, connect the fixture Ground
Wire directly to the crossbar using the Green Screw provided.
15. Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling junction box
and then raise the canopy all the way to the ceiling. Raise the Lock
Collar and thread onto ceiling Loop protruding through canopy.
16, Install the lamp on per the fixture’s specification. (DO NOT
EXCEED THE MAXMUM WATTAGE RATING!) (NE PAS
DEPASSER LA PUISSANCE NOMINALE MAXIMALE!).
Your installation is now complete. Return power to the
outlet box and test the fixture.

Notice: It is important to use proper chain pliers (not
included) to OPEN and CLOSE the chain included with this
fixture. Do not open them with other tools that may twist or
stress the chain links. It is important to use proper chain
pliers like the ones shown in the diagram.
