PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION
Remove all of the contents from the carton. See the important notes above.
Remove the old xture from the ceiling, including the old mounting strap.
1.Fromthepartsbagremovethemountingstrapassembly.Oneendofnipple
(F)shouldbeattachedtomountingstrap(A)withhexnutandwasher(C&D)in
place.Theotherendshouldhavecanopyloop(H)attached.Attachmounting
strap(A)tothejunctionboxusingmountingscrews(B)andascrewdriver.
Tightensecurely.
2.Unscrewcanopyloopcollar(I)fromcanopyloop(H).Passcanopy(G)overthe
mountedcanopylooptotesttheheight.Approximatelyhalfofthecanopyloop’s
exteriorthreadsshouldbeexposed,andthecanopyloopcollarshouldtsnugly
ontothecanopyloop.Removecanopy(G)andadjusttheheightofnipple(F)
andcanopyloop(H)untilthedesiredheightisreached.Removecanopy(G)and
canopyloop(H)andplaceaside.
ASSEMBLING THE FIXTURE
3.Centercolumn(Q)andtoploop(L)areonthexture’swires,butnotattached
toxturebody(Z).Takexturebody(Z)andspreadarms(V)untilthearmsare
evenlyspaced.Screwcentercolumn(Q)ontopost(U)beforetighteningtoploop
(L)ontopost(M).Pullthewiresuntiltaut.Placecagearms(P)overholes(N)and
(X)andtightenscrews(O)and(Y)intotheholestosecurecagearms(P)inplace.
4.Bymeasuring,determinethecorrectnumberofchainlinksneededforproper
hangingheight.Ifnecessary,useapairofplierstoopenandremoveanyexcess
chain(J).Attachonechainconnector(K)toeachendofchain(J).Twisttheside
locktosecuretheconnectorinplace.Connectoneofchainconnectors(K)to
toploop(L)andclosethatchainconnectoraswell.Feedthexture’swiresup
throughthechain(everythreelinksorso),pullingthewiresuntiltaut.Usethefree
chainconnector(K)toattachchain(J)tocanopyloop(H).Untwistcanopyloop
collar(I)fromcanopyloop(H)toallowcanopy(G)tobeaddedtothechain.Feed
thewiresupthroughthechain.Allowcanopy(G)todropdownontothechain/
wire.
CONNECTING THE WIRES
5.Haveanassistantsupportthexture’sweightwhilecompletingthewiring.
Cutawayanyexcesswireaddingatleast8to10inchesofwiretothedesired
length.Threadthexture’swiresthroughcanopyloop(H)andnipple(F).Referto
thewiringdiagramandattachthexture’swirestothepowersupplywiresfrom
thejunctionbox.ConnectHottoHot,NeutraltoNeutral,andGroundtoGround.
Twisttheendsofthewirepairstogether,andthentwistonawireconnector.
Makesurealltwistsareinthesamedirection.Ifthereisnohousegroundwire
comingfromthejunctionbox,locategroundscrew(E)onthemountingbracket/
mountingstrapandwrapthexture’sgroundwirearoundthegroundscrew.Use
ascrewdrivertotightenthetopofgroundscrew(E)ontothewiresandintothe
mountingbracket/mountingstrap.Tuckthewiresintothejunctionbox.
CLEANING TIPS
Treat the xture gently! Regular cleaning will reduce the need for deep cleaning. For regular cleaning, turn off the light and wipe down the
xture with a clean lint-free cotton or microber cloth. Never spray cleaner directly onto the xture.
