power off the monitor when not in
use, especially at the end of the
day.
- It may be difficult to see the image if the
brightness is adjusted to the minimum setting.
- The quality of the video signal may influence
the quality of the displayed image.
- Do not open the monitor casing.

Monitor Care
Cleaning the Monitor
STERIS Wall Displays are intended for use outside of the surgical field but may be exposed to infectious
materials. Wall Displays should be disinfected and cleaned in accordance to Hospital policy and using
manufacturer’s prescribed cleaners.
STERIS Wall Displays feature an optical acrylic panel specially coated for superior anti-reflective properties
which can be damaged (scratched and/or clouded) if improper cleaning solutions are used. The viewing
area must be free of any deposit or residue that could obscure visualization of procedure guidance
information. Some disinfection and cleaning agents may leave a residue and it is recommended that the
viewing area of the display be wiped with a damp then dry micro cloth after disinfection and cleaning or as
needed.
How to Clean
Use a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water.
1. Turn off the Main Power Switch, which is on the back of the monitor, and unplug it.
2. Spray the cleaning solution on a clean, soft, microfiber cloth.
Do not spray fluids directly onto the panel or any system component.
3. Wipe the display area and enclosure with the moistened cloth.
4. Wipe the display area dry with a sterile soft cloth.
Note
WARNING
If you dropped any material or liquid such as water onto the monitor when cleaning, unplug
the power cord immediately and contact your dealer or the nearest service center. Always
make sure your hands are dry when unplugging the power cord.
CAUTION
Do not scratch or rub the screen with a hard object.
Harsh chemicals may cause damage to the cabinet and the touch sensor. Never use any of
these solvents on the display: cleaners with paint thinner, benzene, wax, abrasive cleaner,
acid or alkaline solvent.
Storage
If the monitor will not be used for an extended period of time, remove the power plug from the AC outlet (if
applicable and accessible). Store in its original carton if available. Store in a dry location in temperatures
between -4 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit, as listed on the Specifications page of this manual.

Troubleshooting
Please follow these troubleshooting tips before contacting Customer Support.
There’s no picture on the display
Check the following:
The signal cable is completely connected to the computer’s video port.
The display card is completely seated in its slot in the computer.
The Main Power switch on the back of the display is ON.
The Power button on the front has been pressed and its light is steady blue.
The power cord and external power supply are properly connected.
The power outlet works with other devices.
The video cable has no bent or pushed-in pins.
The video button selected on the front of the display matches a video port on the back of the
display with a video cable.
Image persistence (Image Sticking)
Image persistence happens when a fixed image remains on the display too long, and a residual or “ghost”
version of that image remains on the display even after the image changes.
To alleviate image persistence, turn off the display for as long as the ghost image was originally
displayed.
Do not leave a fixed image on the display for more than thirty minutes.
The screen has defective pixels (e.g. slightly light or dark).
This is a characteristic of the panel itself and not the LED product.
The image is unstable, unfocused, or appears to be swimming
Check the following:
The video is securely attached to the computer’s video port
The display and the computer are compatible and use recommended signal timings.
If your text is garbled, change the video mode to non-interlace and use 60Hz refresh rate.
The OSD menu is not the right size
Make sure a supported video mode is selected on the computer.
There’s no signal
Check the following:
The video cable is securely connected to the computer.
The computer is not in a power-saving mode. Touch the keyboard or mouse.
If no video is present on the screen, turn the Power button off and on again.
The Power button is not lit
Check the following:
The Main Power switch on the back of the display is ON.
The power cable is securely connected to the display and a power outlet.
Pressing the Menu button does not display the OSD menu
Make sure OSD Key Lock (described on page 13) is unlocked.
The image is glaring or dark
Change the brightness of the display.
If a camera is the video source, perform a white balance and check the camera’s iris control. See
camera’s operating manual for instructions LED

Features
DisplayPort
DisplayPort is a digital display interface standard put forth by the Video Electronics Standards Association
(VESA). It defines a new royalty-free, digital audio/video interconnect, intended to be used primarily between
a computer and its display, or a computer and a home-theater system.
HDMI
HDMI is a proprietary audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video data and compressed or
uncompressed digital audio data from an HDMI-compliant source device, such as a display controller, to a
compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television, or digital audio device. HDMI is a digital
replacement for analog video standards.
DFP (Digital Flat Panel)
An all-digital interface for flat panel monitors which is signal compatible with DVI. As a DVI-based digital only
connection, only a simple adapter is necessary for compatibility between DFP and other DVI-based digital
connectors such as DVI and P&D.
P&D (Plug and Display)
The VESA standard for digital flat panel monitor interfaces. It is more robust than DFP since it allows for
other options off a signal connector (options like USB, analog video and IEEE-1394-995). The VESA
committee has recognized that DFP is a subset of P&D. As a DVI-based connector (for the digital input
pins), only a simple adapter is necessary for compatibility between P&D and other DVI-based digital
connector such as DVI and DFP.
Color Control Systems
The color control systems allow you to adjust the colors on your screen and customize the color accuracy of
your monitor to a variety of standards.
OSD (On-Screen Display) Controls
The OSD controls allow you to quickly and easily adjust all elements of your screen image via a simple to
use OSD.
Ergo Design Features
The Ergo design features enhance human ergonomics to improve the working environment, protect the
health of the user and save money. Examples include OSD controls for quick and easy image adjustments.
Intelligent Power Manager System
The intelligent power manager system provides innovative power-saving methods that allow the monitor to
shift to a lower power consumption level when on but not in use, saving your monitor energy costs, reducing
emissions and lowering the air conditioning costs of the workplace.
Multiple Frequency Technology
The multiple frequency technology automatically adjusts the monitor to the display card’s scanning
frequency, thus displaying the required resolution.
Full Screen Capability
The full screen capability allows you to use the entire screen area in most resolutions, significantly
expanding the image size.
Wide Viewing Angle Technology
The wide viewing angle technology allows the user to be able to see the monitor from any angles and any
orientations Portrait or Landscape. Provides the same viewing angles either up, down, left or right.
Gamma
The internal circuitry automatically converts 8-bit data from the PC to 10-bit and back to 8-bit, producing
smooth transition. Gamma can be set by using preset values or creating a custom setting.
