ASSEMBLY:

Inspect the shipping container contents for damage and to

determine that all components and hardware are present.

2. Locate the two bench supports and place them the

approximate distance of the seat on the packaging

cardboard or other so surface to avoid scratching the

product.

3. Locate the seat support and position it between the two

bench supports. Orient the seat support with the open side

facing downward. Hold the seat support so that the side

mounting holes in the support match up with the mounting

holes in the bench support. Place a 3/8" at washer on one

of the 3/8"-16 X 1 1/4” hex head bolts and insert the bolt

through the bench support and the seat support. Put a

3/8" at washer and 3/8"-16 hex nut on the end of the bolt

and tighten nger tight. Repeat this step for both sides of

the seat. Leave the hardware nger tight so adjustments

can be made during assembly.

NOTE: Before assembling the nuts to the bolts, it is

recommended that a light oil or petroleum jelly be applied

to the screw threads.

The assembly is a two-person operation.

4. Place either one or two seat braces on the seat support depending

on whether you are assembling the 4' bench or 6' bench. Make sure

the center hole in the seat brace aligns with the mounting hole in the

seat channel.

5. Place the ve seat planks over the seat supports and seat braces.

NOTE: When laying out the planks, make sure the surface with the

pre-drilled pilot holes face downward. Place the seat end cap over

each end of the seat planks.

6. Secure the end caps and planks using a 3/8"-16 X 3” carriage bolt

through the center seat plank and a 3/8"-16 X 2 1/2” carriage bolt

through the remaining seat planks. Install a 3/8" at washer and

3/8" nylock nut to each of the 3” carriage bolts and install a 3/8" at

washer, 3/8" lock washer and 3/8"-16 hex nut to each of the 2 1/2”

carriage bolts. Tighten the hardware nger tight so adjustments can

be made while installing the Phillips head screws.

7. Using a driver with a No. 3 Phillips head bit, drive a Phillips head

screw through each of the holes in the seat braces, seat supports and

into the matching pre-drilled holes in the seat planks.

Aer the Phillips head screws are installed in the seat planks, tighten

the hardware on the carriage bolts on the ends of the seat planks.

Tighten all of the hardware throughout the seat. Move the assembled

seat to the desired location.

Aer two weeks, retighten all of the hardware.9.
