Accessing the Proportional Water Valve on an Elevance
®
Standard Unit...
A) Turn off air and water using the Shut Offs in the J-Box.
B) Unplug Power Supply from electrical mains in the J-Box.
C) Turn Water Bottle CCW to release the air pressure in the water tubing.
D) Remove, Tray, Pad, and Magnetic Lid.
E) Remove two screws and lift off the Metal Cover.
F) Remove handpieces from holders (allow them to hang) and remove eight
screws so you can rotate the Top Cover Assembly upside down on top
of the instrument platform (leaving handpieces, tubing and wiring connected).
G) Disconnect the handpiece sensor harnesses, touch sensor harnesses, USB and
LIN connections from the ICM PC Board and remove the Top Cover Assembly.

Accessing the Proportional Water Valve on an Elevance
®
Continental-Style Unit...
A) See A) through C) on page 1 to turn off power and relieve pressure in tubing.
B) Move handpieces to the back of the unit (allow them to hang freely, not shown).
C) Push arm forward to access screw, remove it and pull up to remove the arm. Remove all arms.
D) Remove Magnetic Lid.
E) Remove two screws and lift off the Metal Cover.
F) Remove eight screws, then lift and rotate the Top Cover Assembly forward.
G) Unplug all Sensory Input connectors, the LIN connector, USB cables and the Interface Board ribbon
cable from the ICM PC Board. Move Top Cover Assembly aside. (Tubing will still be connected.)
H) Remove six screws and lift off Pivot Tower Assembly to access the Interface Board.

Remove Water Valve...
A) Unplug connector from J6 on the Interface Board.
B) Unplug connector from the Water Valve.
C) Disconnect the water IN line from the Water Valve.
D) Disconnect the water OUT line from the Water Valve.
E) Remove two screws and discard the Water Valve.
Note: The Water / Air wiring harness remains connected to the Air Valve.

Install Water Valve Kit....
A) Place Water Valve in unit near the Air Valve,
B) Connect the water IN line to the Water Valve.
C) Connect the water OUT line to the Water Valve.
D) Plug male connector into J6 on the Interface Board.
E) Plug female connector into the male Air / Water connector
from the Air Valve.
Note: The 3-port connector of the Water / Air wiring harness does not get
connected. Wire tie it to another wire to secure it.

Reconnect all Components, Return all Covers
and Power Up the Unit....
A) Reference pages 1 and 2 to reassemble and
ready the unit for operation.

Flush the Delivery Unit to Verify Operation of the
Proportional Water Valve...
A) Move the Master Switch to the ON position. Allow the Home Screen to
appear on the Integration Control Module
®
(ICM).
B) Pull all of the handpieces from the holders and disconnect them from the
tubing. The Flush Operation Screen appears on the ICM.
C) Press to highlight DAILY flush and the to select it.
D) Press to highlight HANDPIECE FLUSH.
E) Hold the handpiece tubes over a container to catch the water, then
press the to begin the flush operation. The Flush Process Screen
displays a countdown timer.
F) When Flush process is complete the Flush Operations Screen appears.
Return the handpieces to their tubes and holders, then press to
continue.
G) Highlight EXIT and press the to exit the next two Flush Operations
and return to the Home Screen.
Note: If any leaks occur during the flush, repeat the installation from the beginning to pinpoint
their location and repair them.
