WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Typically used on exit doors, when unauthorized egress is
initiated in the locked mode, SDC’s ExitCheck® delays egress
through the doorfor fteen or thirty seconds. Meanwhile, the
person exiting must wait while personnel or securityrespond.
The door unlocks after fteen seconds have elapsed,
permitting egress. A signal from the re life safety system
will release the lock for uninhibited egress in an emergency.
Thirty second delay available where approved.
ExitCheck® provides a clear warning for the safety of
persons without prior knowledge of door operation
including the blind and hearing impaired. When activation
exceeds one second, an irreversible process begins
that will unlock the door in fourteen seconds. The voice
message, tone and countdown annunciation continues.
ExitCheck® complies with today’s building and re life
safety codes and is also available in a tandem model to
accommodate pairs of doors.
