IFM E33061, E33072, E33112, E40167 Installation guide

  • Hello, I'm here to assist you with the ifm electronic's Aseptoflex adapter installation instructions. I have reviewed the document, which outlines how to properly mount the adapter, including lubricating the threads and tightening to the correct torque. I am ready to answer any questions you may have about installing the E330xx / E331xx adapter, its provided lubricating paste, and the one-time use design of the adapter.
  • What is the recommended action before mounting the adapter?
How tight should the sensor be when screwed into the adapter?
Is the adapter reusable for long-term stable and maintenance-free fitting?

adapter (C) to sensor (A) first,
then sensor + adapter to the pro-

If it is not possible to slide the fixing
element (B) down over the top of the
sensor: slide it up over the bottom
of the sensor before the adapter is
mounted.

NOTE: A guarantee for a long-term stable and maintenance-free fitting, with no
bug traps in the hygienic sealing of the metal seal (Aseptoflex connection) is only
valid for once-only mounting.
Mounting of the adapter:
Grease thread and sealing chamfer 1.
of the sensor and the contact face
and of the adapter with the lubrica-

Clamp sensor and adapter into a 3.
clamping device (E). The sealing
chamfers (F) must not be damaged.
Tighten the sensor slightly using a
spanner until you can feel the end
stop (corresponding to a maxi-
mum tightening torque of 25 Nm /
18 ft-lb).

Note: Do not overtighten. This can have adverse effect on the sealing.
