Grease the sensor thread with a suitable
paste (A). The lubricating paste must
be suitable and approved for the given
application and compatible with the
elastomers used.
Place the sealing ring (B) in the groove
(C) of the sensor.
The adapter is supplied with an EPDM
O-ring. More sealing rings are available as
accessories:
FKM O-ring.
PEEK sealing ring.
Use a new adapter when changing from a
PEEK seal to O-ring sealing.

Screw the sensor (D) into the adapter
(E) until it is hand-tight. When doing
so, avoid mechanical effects on the
sealing areas, the hygienic area and the
pressure measuring cell.
Make sure that the O-ring (F) is correctly
positioned.

Clamp the sensor and adapter into a
clamping device (G), e.g. vice, and only
tighten slightly so that the adapter is not
deformed.
Tighten the sensor using a spanner
until you can feel the end stop (this
corresponds to a maximum tightening
torque of 35 Nm). Note: Further
tightening may affect the sealing effect.

Grease thread and sealing (H) of the
coupling nut (I) with paste (A).

Slip the coupling nut (I) onto the sensor
(D).
Install the premounted unit in a universal RD52 process connection.
Tighten the coupling nut (I) at the universal RD52 process connection.
