Cooling adapter for Aseptoflex-Vario welding adapter E30532
7
4.1 Cooling
The cooling must not lead to the formation of condensate on the surface of the welding adapter,
otherwise the welding process will be impeded.
uCirculation of the coolant must be ensured during welding.
uEven with internal cooling, professional welding with sufficient cooling time between the welding
steps (back-step welding) is mandatory.
uThe tightness of the flexible hose connections must be ensured so that no coolant comes into
contact with the weld seam.
uThe cooling effect must be checked by a supervising welding specialist and monitored during the
welding process.
4.2 Use on tanks
The cooling adapter and the counter plate are to be used provided the tank is accessible from
the inside after the welding process.
uScrew the cooling adapter into the adapter to be welded in until it is hand-tight.
uScrew the counter plate from the inside of the tank onto the cooling adapter. Max. tightening torque
20 Nm.
uActivate cooling.
uCarry out the welding operation Ò Installation instructions Welding adapter.
uAfter each welding, including the cooling phase, check the thread of the welding adapter for ease of
movement.
uAfter cooling, unscrew the counter plate from the cooling adapter.
uAfter cooling, remove the cooling adapter from the welding adapter and check that the thread and
sealing edge are not damaged.
4.3 Use on pipes and inline housings
Mount the cooling adapter so that it does not touch the opposite wall.
uScrew the cooling adapter hand-tight into the welding adapter.
uActivate cooling.
uCarry out the welding operation Ò Installation instructions Welding adapter.
uAfter each welding, including the cooling phase, check the thread of the welding adapter for ease of
movement.
uAfter cooling, remove the cooling adapter from the welding adapter and check that the thread and
sealing edge are not damaged.
