Operating Instructions for

1967—1978 Cadillac Eldorado &

Oldsmobile Toronado Adapter

1. Place the wheel assembly on the Table Top with

the valve up. Place 102789, Top Bead Loosener

Adapter, on the wheel as shown above. Make sure the

adapter is in line with the Top Bead Loosener. The two

ends of the Adapter are located in two holes on the

rim and the edge is placed against the inside of the

rim ﬂange.

2. Place the Top Bead Loosener Nose over the

Adapter and loosen the beads in the usual manner.

3. For machines equipped with power limiter,

remove wheel assembly from table top and run bead

loosener to the top of its stroke. Lay shoes back and

place 1/4” shim (red) and 3/16" shim (back) between

small lower shoe and shoe adjusting bar. Allow bead

loosener to return to its lowered position. Caution:

Remove shim when servicing conventional type

wheels.

4. For machines with detent, remove wheel from

table top and replace on table top in reverse mounting

position with valve down. Move detent knob toward

you to the narrow width position.

5. With the wheel assembly on the table top in the

reverse mounting position, demount and mount the

tire in the normal manner.
