1. Introduction:

The OnQ Diplex Filter Assembly is to be used with OnQ Diplex Filter Modules and the OnQ Multi-Switch for

distributing DSS and cable signals over a single cable.

2. Description:

The OnQ Diplex Filter Assembly attaches to the TV and DSS Receiver Box.

3. Installation

A. Assembly Hook-up – Refer to Figure 2.

1) Route RG6 cable from outlet to the “IN” fitting on the assembly.

2) Connect cable from “ANTENNA” output to satellite receiver.

3) Connect cable from “SATELLITE” output to satellite receiver.

4) Connect “out to TV” on satellite receiver to TV input.

Disclaimer

OnQ recommends using RG-6 quad shielded solid copper cable in lieu of copper clad steel, especially with

applications that involve distributing DC voltages. Solid copper offers less DC resistance than copper clad steel and

thus less of a voltage drop. Many manufactures of 3

party devices such as satellite receivers’ state NOT to use

copper clad steel for this reason. Use of copper clad steel could result in

voltage drop significant enough to

interfere with a DC voltage dependant device’s operation. As in any RF or RF/DC application, try to avoid excessively

long runs.
