1. Introduction
The OnQ Spaun Mounting Plate, P/N 364481-01, allows the Spaun SMS5801NF (5x8) Multi-Switch to be
mounted in any standard OnQ enclosure. Locating the mounting plate in the enclosure allows for easy
integration and cable management while providing a neat and clean solution for accommodating 5x8 satellite
distribution. An example of the mounting plate is shown in Figure 1.
2. Description
The OnQ Spaun Mounting Plate is a full
width module (7âH x 13âW), which is
mounted with the standard OnQ tab and
plunger arrangement. The mounting
plate is black powder coated steel.
3. Installation
A. Select the location in the
enclosure to allow easy access
of input and output cables.
Note: Leave enough room
above and below the module for
cable dressing.
B. Align tabs on the module with slots in the enclosure. Refer to Figure 2.
C. Insert tabs by angling module away from the back of the enclosure.
D. Rotate the module and insert fasteners on module into corresponding holes on rail of enclosure.
(Plunger must be in a pulled position for fastener to engage hole).
E. Push plunger in to lock module in place. Pull on module to ensure module is locked properly in place.
F. Route the room cables through the cable management slots on the
mounting plate. Leave enough excess to dress the cable properly
after termination.
G. Rough position cables for the designed application to the multi-
switch. Trim cables with excess for termination and dressing.
Note: The Spaun SMS5801NF Multi-Switch may be used several
ways and can be integrated with many different video distribution
scenarios. If integrating with other OnQ video modules, please
contact technical support for additional information. OnQ technical

H. Terminate cables with OnQ 360 Conical âFâ Plug, P/N 364246-01,
and connect per Spaun manual.
