Preparing the Fan for installation.
1. Removethefrontcoverbydepressingthe
latchontheundersideofthecoverand
pullingothefrontcoverfromthebottom
(SeeFigureC).
If working above ground floor
level, safety precautions must be
observed.
Mark the position of the back-plate
2. Holdtheback-platesothatthelevelline
markedonitisorientatedhorizontally.
3. Carefullyinsertthefantubeintothewallduct.
4. Markonthewallthepositionsofthexing
holesintheback-plate.
5. Removethebackplatefromtheducting.
6. Drillscrewholesinthesepositionsifnecessary,
andtwallplugsandscrewsasrequired.
If installing in a ceiling, appropriate
termination ancillaries are required.
Follow instructions provided.
Mount the back-plate.
7. Pushtheribbedgasketontotheduct
sectionofthebackplate(seeFigureD).
8. Pushthelargerdiameterpieceofthetelescopic
walltubeontotheribbedgasket.Cutthetube
totherequiredsizerstifnecessary.
9. Feedthemainscablethroughthecable
entryholeinthebackplatetotheterminals.
10. Insertthefantubeintothewallduct/ceiling
asbefore.
11. Fastentheback-platetothewall/ceiling
usingappropriatefastenerssupplied.See
gureA.
12. Ifusingscrews,donotovertighten.
Mount the back draft shutter
13. Peelthebackingfromthefoamstrip
suppliedandattachitaroundtheoutsidelip
onthebackdraftshutter.
14.Gooutside.Holdingopenthetopandbottom
vanesinsertthelipintothewallduct.
15. Makingsurethatthebackdraftshutteris
level,markthepositionsofthetwoxing
holesinthetoprighthandandbottomleft
handcorners.
16. Removethebackdraftshuttersfromthe
wallduct.
17. Drillscrewholesinmarkedpositionsandt
theremainingwallplugs.
18. Holdingopenthetopandbottomvanes,
retthebackdraftshutterandfasten
ittothewallusingthescrews.Donot
overtightenscrews.
19.Makesurethatthevanesopenandshutfully.
Wire the electrical connections.
20. Makesurethemainssupplyisisolated.
Switchothemainselectricalsupplyand
removefuses.
21. Feedthecabletotheterminalblock.Wire
thefanasshowninFigureHusingthe
diagramappropriatetothefanmodel.
22. Connectthecablefromtheisolatingswitch
