Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after unpacking.
• Do not continue to operate the unit if you are in any doubt about it
working normally, or if it is damaged in any way - switch o, withdraw
the mains plug and consult your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable surface and should not be
subjected to vibrations.
• The unit should be placed in a position such that it will not be easily
knocked over.
• Take extra care when positioning or moving the unit to prevent
damaging the bass speaker in the base of the unit.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable surfaces as the unit may
fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the unit and should be easily
accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor, domestic use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature, either hot or cold. Place the unit
well away from heat sources such as radiators or gas/electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked ame on the top of or near
the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or product damage, do not
expose this unit to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No objects
lled with liquids, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can cause serious damage. Switch
it o at the mains immediately. Withdraw the mains plug and consult
your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or re hazard due to overheating,
ensure that curtains and other materials do not obstruct the ventilation
vents.
• Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, built-in cabinet or in
another conned space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.
Safety
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains supply before connecting/
disconnecting other devices or moving the unit.
• Unplug the unit from the mains socket before a lightning storm.
Mains Adapter Cable
• Make sure the unit is not resting on top of the mains adapter cable,
as the weight of the unit may damage the cable and create a safety
hazard.
Interference
• Do not place the unit on or near appliances which may cause
electromagnetic interference. If you do, it may adversely aect the
operating performance of the unit, and cause a distorted picture or
sound.
Batteries
• Batteries used in the remote control for this unit are easily swallowed
by young children and this is dangerous.
• Keep loose batteries away from young children and make sure that the
battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice
if you believe a cell has been swallowed.
• Please dispose of batteries correctly by following the guidance in this
manual.
Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
unit and the remote control.
• Never let anyone especially children push anything into the holes,
slots or any other openings in the case - this could result in a fatal
electric shock.
Service
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove screws. The
unit does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Please leave all
maintenance work to qualied personnel.
• Do not open any xed covers as this may expose dangerous voltages.
Maintenance
• Ensure to unplug the unit from the power supply before cleaning.
• Do not use any type of abrasive pad or abrasive cleaning solutions as
these may damage the unit’s surface.

Battery Installation for the Remote Control
1. Use a wooden toothpick to push the battery
compartment forward via the hole at the rear
of the remote control. Remove the control
panel.
2. Remove the old battery by sliding it out or
pushing it out (using a wooden toothpick)
from the rear of the control panel. Insert a new
battery.
3. Push the control panel back into place. Ensure
they are tightened securely.

Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause re,
personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity ( + and – ) indications in the battery
compartment.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with local
regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily swallowed by young
children, this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from young children and make sure that the
battery holder tray is secure in the remote control. Seek medical advice if you believe a cell has been
swallowed.
Handling the Remote Control
• Do not drop the remote control or allow it to suer any impact.
• Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time, as the battery
could leak or cause corrosion, which may result in physical injury and/or property damage, including
re.

Installing the cone feet
To increase the space between the subwoofer speaker and the surface, you may install the
cone feet to the unit.
1. Remove the rubber lid at the standing feet of the unit.
Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control at the unit at a maximum of 6 metres from the remote control
sensor of the unit and within a 60° arc of the front of the unit. The operating distance may
vary depending on the brightness of the room.
2. Securely attach the four cone feet to the standing feet.

Playing music from an Audio Device
The AUX input is located at the rear of the unit. Use an RCA stereo audio cable to connect to
auxiliary equipment through the AUX 1 (L/R) sockets.

Mains Power
• This unit was designed to operate with an AC 220-240V~ 50/60Hz power supply.
• Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect the other end of the mains cable to
the AC~ Socket at the rear of the unit then connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
Make sure the mains plug is rmly inserted into the mains socket. The unit is now
connected and ready to use.
• To switch the unit o completely, remove the mains plug from the mains socket.

source may cause damage to the unit.
• Ensure all audio connections of the unit
are connected before connecting to the
mains power socket.

First Time Use
On rst use, the display will show 12:00. This is the CLOCK mode (see the “Clock Setting”
section for more details).

General Operation
Standby/ON
• When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in STANDBY mode.
• Press the button to switch the unit to ON mode.
• Press the button to switch back the unit to STANDBY mode.
Selecting Modes
Press the FUNCTION button on the unit or press the FUNC button on the remote control to
select between TUNER, BluT and AUX modes.
• If there is no signal under the Bluetooth and AUX mode, the unit will automatically switch o within
15 minutes.
• Please turn the unit o completely to save energy when not in use.
Adjusting the Volume
• Press the + / – buttons to adjust the volume.
• If you wish to turn the sound o, press the / PAIR / MUTE button on the remote
control. Press the / PAIR / MUTE button again to resume normal listening.
Adjusting the Sound Eect
Press the BASS / TUNING button repeatedly on the remote control to adjust the bass level
(Bas 1 / Bas 2 / Bas 3).
Clock Setting
Setting the clock can only be done in STANDBY mode.
1. In STANDBY mode, press and hold the PROG / CLOCK button on the remote control
until the hour digits is ashing.
2. Press the buttons on the remote control to adjust the hour digits while ashing,
then press the PROG / CLOCK button on the remote control to conrm, then the
minute digits will ash.
3. Press the buttons to adjust the minute digits while ashing, then press the PROG
/ CLOCK button on the remote control to conrm.
4. Each activated state will be cleared if any buttons are not pressed within 15 seconds.

Radio Operation
Scanning for Radio Stations
The unit will automatically select a FM radio station with a good signal.
1. Select the TUNER mode by pressing the FUNCTION button on the unit or pressing the
FUNC button on the remote control until the LED display reads TUNER”.
2. Press and hold PROG / CLOCK button for a few seconds to activate automatic
programming. All available stations will be programmed in the order of waveband
reception strength.
3. The rst programmed radio station is played automatically.
4. To select and listen to a saved radio station, press the buttons to skip to the
previous/next preset radio station.
Auto tuning
While in TUNER mode, press and hold the buttons on the remote control for a few
seconds, the tuner will start searching for a station. The tuner will stop searching after
tuning in to a radio station.
Manual tuning
While in TUNER mode, press and hold the BASS / TUNING button, then press
buttons repeatedly on the remote control to search for the desired frequency reception.
Each press the buttons will adjust the frequency by 0.1MHz and then press the /
PAIR / MUTE button on the remote control to conrm.
• The search may not stop at a station with a very weak signal.
• If reception is still poor, try to move the radio to another location.
• If the unit is muted, tuning cannot be done. Press
/ PAIR / MUTE on the remote control to restore
sound and then start tuning.
Presetting Stations Manually
You can store up to 20 of your favourite stations to the memory. This will enable you to
access your favourite stations quickly and easily.
1. To store a preset station, you must rst be listening to the station that you would like
to save, press and hold the / PAIR / MUTE button on the remote control. The preset
number will show on the display.
2. Then press the buttons on the remote control to select your desired preset
station number and then press the / PAIR / MUTE button on the remote control to
conrm.
3. The station will be stored and the screen will then show the preset number.

AUX Operation
There are AUX IN sockets located at the rear of the unit. Analogue audio sound signals from
other sources can be connected to the unit through these sockets.
1. Connect to another audio device using the AUX 1 (L/R) sockets via a RCA stereo audio
cable.
2. While in the ON mode, press the FUNCTION button on the unit or press the FUNC
button on the remote control repeatedly to select AUX mode.
3. Press the + / – buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.
4. In AUX mode, operate your audio device directly for playback features.
Bluetooth® Operation
The unit has a Bluetooth function that can receive a signal within 8 metres.
Pairing the unit with a Bluetooth device to listen to music:
1. During ON mode, press the FUNCTION button on the unit or press the FUNC button
on the remote control repeatedly to select BluT (Bluetooth) mode. “NO BT will show
on the display if the unit is not paired to any Bluetooth device.
2. The system has entered pairing mode
OR
press and hold the / PAIR / MUTE button on the remote control to be searchable.
The display will show PAIR”.
3. Activate your Bluetooth device and select the search mode.
4. “STSBT13E” will appear on your Bluetooth device list.
5. Select “STSBT13E” and enter “0000” for the password if necessary. The display will show
BluT (Bluetooth).
6. To disconnect the Bluetooth function, switch to another function on the unit or disable
the function from your Bluetooth device.
• If the signal strength is weak, your Bluetooth receiver may disconnect, but it will re-enter pairing mode
automatically.
• This unit supports A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Prole) and AVRCP (Audio Video remote
Control Prole) functions.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.
NFC (Near Field Communication) Operation
Pair your NFC-enabled mobile device directly with this unit by just a single tap.
1. Activate NFC on your mobile device.
2. Tap the mobile device on the icon of the unit.
3. Operate your mobile device for playback features.
4. To disconnect, tap the mobile device on the icon of the unit to disconnect or disable
NFC from your mobile device.
The NFC function only works with mobile devices that support NFC technology.
Hints and Tips
If a problem does occur, it may often be due to something very minor. The following table
contains various tips.
Problem Solution
No power. • Ensure the mains plug is connected.
• Make sure that you select the ON mode.
The remote control
does not function.
• Use the remote control near the unit.
• Point the remote control at the remote sensor on the unit.
• Replace the battery in the remote control with a new one.
• Remove any obstacles between the remote control and the unit.
Loud hum or noise
is heard.
• The plugs and sockets are dirty. Wipe them with a cloth slightly
moistened with alcohol.

RADIO
Poor FM reception. Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception.
Move the unit away from the interference (especially those items
with motors and transformers).
Desired station not
found.
• Weak signal. Use the Manual Tune function.
Bluetooth
I cannot nd
“STSBT13E” on my
Bluetooth device
• Ensure the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth
device.
• Ensure you have paired your unit with the Bluetooth device.
Some NFC-enabled
mobile devices
cannot pair directly
with the unit.
• Download and install NFC reader apps into your NFC-enabled
mobile device. Please refer to your mobile devices guidebook for
more details.
• Pair the NFC-enabled mobile device via Bluetooth, and then tap
the icon.
• Some mobile devices do not support NFC. Pair your mobile
device with the unit via Bluetooth.
If any anomaly is encountered, unplug the mains adapter from the mains socket and reconnect it again.
