BLOTZ B20-WF-115, B20_WF_115 Assembly Instructions

  • Hello! I have reviewed the user manual for the BLOTZ Japanese Corner Wall B20-WF-115. This document provides detailed instructions on how to assemble and paint the model. It includes steps on gluing the walls, adding the roof and stonework, and painting each component. I am ready to answer any questions you might have about the assembly process, required materials, or other details outlined in the manual.
  • What type of glue is required?
What tool is needed to remove the sections?
What can I use to hold pieces in place while glue dries?
Japanese Corner Wall
B20-WF-115
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due care and remember
to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold pieces in place while
you allow glue to dry.
Take the base and four wall sections from the sprue.
Glue the walls back to back and attach to the base
so that there is a 2mm gap at either end (see pic).
Take the pieces shown above
and glue them together as shown.
Glue this assembly on top of the walls, so the uprights
are flush to the ends of the walls.
Paint the component parts of your model
(see below for details)
Glue the stonework into position.
Then add the roof, one side at a time. The ends of
the roof should be flush to the ends of the walls.
The completed wall section after basing and flock have been applied.
Painting
The wall was sprayed white using car undercoat.
The roof was sprayed red using red-oxide car undercoat then dry brushed with a salmon pink colour (DIY
emulsion paint).
The stone was sprayed black using car undercoat then a dry brush of pale grey applied.
