Introduction

This operating manual is a supplement to the operating manual of the basic

device.

It describes exclusively the CINEO Coin Sidecar and its components.

This operating manual provides all the information required for using the

CINEO Coin Sidecar. A separate operating manual is available for the basic

device.

 Text following this mark represents an item in a list.

 Paragraphs following this symbol are actions to be performed in the order

in which they are specified.

Text following this symbol should be given special attention in order to

Important safety precautions

Please read the following notes carefully before doing any

work on the

device.

Be careful not to injure your head when the customer panel or the

operating unit door are lifted up!

When the functionality of the gas springs decreases, the Service must

be informed, for there is a risk of injury.

This device complies with the relevant safety regulations for information

processing equipment.

 Note the warning and information labels on the device.

 Unless otherwise stated, grasp the components only by the green ledge

when handling them.

 The device is equipped with a safety-tested power cable which must be

connected only to a suitable grounded outlet.

 Replace the lighting unit in the customer panel only when the device is

switched off.

 Always hold the plug when removing the power cable. Never pull the cable

itself.

 Install cables in such a way that they will not be stepped on or tripped over

or damaged or crushed in any way.

 Have damaged power cables replaced immediately.

 Make sure that there is always free access to the sockets used or to the

electrical circuit-breakers of the house installation.

 In case of an emergency (e.g. damaged cabinets, controls or power cables,

liquids or foreign objects in the device) take the following steps:

Deactivate the device immediately by:

Switching off the automatic circuit-breaker or removing the fuse inset

from the fuse holder in the distribution box of the building installation.

Disconnecting the plug connectors of the power supply cable from the

grounded sockets in the building installation.

Switching off the power switch on the power distributor.

If installed, interrupting the power connection between the UPS

(uninterruptible power supply) and the device (see section "General

power interrupt").

Inform the customer service responsible for you.

 During a thunderstorm, data transmission lines must not be connected or

disconnected.

 Always keep the device's vents free from obstruction to ensure proper air

circulation and to prevent malfunctions resulting from overheating.

 Only use accessories and extension components which have been

approved by us. Nonobservance can result in damage to the device or

violations of regulations concerning safety, radio interference and

ergonomical requirements.

 Note that there are only safety extra-low voltage circuits (SELV circuits) if

you want to feed voltage from an external source into prepared cables to

install additional electronics (e. g. EMA connection, relay panel for external

features).

 To clean the device only use cleaning agents approved by

WINCOR NIXDORF International GmbH (see chapter "Appendix").

Repairs

Repair work may only be carried out by authorized personnel.

Unauthorized opening of the device or repair work carried out

improperly could result in considerable danger to the user.

In case of noncompliance, WINCOR NIXDORF International GmbH

excludes all liability.

Lithium batteries

The handling and the replacement should only be performed by

authorized service personnel who were trained by the

WINCOR NIXDORF International GmbH.

There is danger of fire or explosion if the batteries are handled

improperly. It is therefore important to note the following points:

– Avoid short circuits

– Never recharge the battery

– Avoid temperatures above +100 °C (+212 °F).

– Do not try to open the battery by force

– Do not allow the battery to come in contact with water or fire

The battery should only be replaced with the same or an equivalent

type recommended by WINCOR NIXDORF International GmbH (see

chapter “Appendix,” section “Consumables”).

Dispose of used batteries in compliance with national regulations and

the manufacturer's specifications.

General power interruption

A general power interruption has the fol

lowing effects:

– All current transactions are immediately aborted.

 Open the control panel (see chapter "Basic Operation", section "Opening /

closing the device doors").

 Pull out the coin dispenser module carriage.

Disconnect the power cable from the

power supply unit (1).

 To ensure that the entire device is disconnected from power, you must also

pull the plug of the power supply cable from the on-site electrical socket or

interrupt the power supply by switching off the automatic circuit-breaker or

by unscrewing the fuse in the distributor box of the house installation.

 Open the device door (see chapter "Basic Operation", section

"Opening/closing the device doors").

 Pull out the coin dispenser module carriage.

Disconnect the power cable from the

power supply unit (1).

 To ensure that the entire device is disconnected from power, you must also

pull the plug of the power supply cable from the on-site electrical socket or

interrupt the power supply by switching off the automatic circuit-breaker or

by unscrewing the fuse in the distributor box of the house installation.

The CINEO Coin Sidecar is available in the following device versions:

CINEO Coin Sidecar 4-High

This CINEO Coin Sidecar is designed for operation on basic devices with 4-

compartment RM3 / 4-cassette dispensers.

The CINEO Coin Sidecar is available in the device versions Frontload and

Rearload, with the components:

 Coin dispenser module (optional)

 Coin deposit module

CINEO Coin Sidecar 5-High

This CINEO Coin Sidecar is designed for operation on basic devices with 5-

compartment RM3 / 5-cassette dispensers.

The CINEO Coin Sidecar is available in the device versions Frontload and

Rearload, with the components:

 Coin dispenser module (optional)

 Coin deposit module

The operation of the device versions CINEO Coin Sidecar 4-High and

CINEO Coin Sidecar 5-High is identical. The devices differ only in

terms of their device heights.

In the case of the Frontload device version, the service and

maintenance functions are carried out from the front of th

e device. The

dialog necessary for this purpose is implemented through the basic

device with the aid of the customer monitor, the keypad and the

function keys on the control panel or the operator panel in the control

panel.

In the case of the Rearload device version, the service and

maintenance functions are carried out from both the device front and

the rear of the device. The necessary dialog takes place on the basic

device via an operator panel in the door of the operating unit.
