Dear Customer
The Operating instructions will allow you to become acquainted with your machine and pro-
vide clear information about safe and correct handling, maintenance and care. Take the time
to read the instructions all the way through.
The operating instructions are a part of the machine. They must be stored in an accessible
location at the workplace for the entire service life of the machine. The user must independ-
ently supplement the instructions regarding national regulations on accident prevention, traf-
fic safety and environment protection.
All persons that are entrusted with the operation, maintenance or transport of the machine
must read and understand these instructions, in particular the safety instructions, before be-
ginning work. Any warranty claims lapse on non-observance of these Instructions.
If you have any questions regarding the contents of these Operating instructions or further
questions regarding the machine, please contact your PÖTTINGER service partner.
Correct maintenance and care according to the defined maintenance intervals will ensure the
operational and traffic safety, as well as the reliability of your machine.
Use only original spare parts or spare parts and accessories that are approved by PÖTTING-
ER Landtechnik GmbH. Only original spare parts that are approved by us have been tested
and accordingly are appropriate for use in your machine. The use of any unapproved parts
forfeits any guarantee or guarantee claim. Even after the end of the warranty period we rec-
ommend using original spare parts to ensure the performance of your machine.
The Product Liability Law obligates manufacturers/dealers to transfer operating instructions
when selling machines, as well as to instruct clients regarding the safety, operation and
maintenance regulations concerning the machine. Confirmation in the form of a declaration
of transfer is required to verify that the implement and Instructions have been transferred cor-
rectly. The declaration of transfer is delivered together with the machine.
Every self-employed person and farmer is an entrepreneur within the meaning of the product
liability legislation. Therefore corporate property damage according to the Product Liability
Law is excluded from the liability of PÖTTINGER. Corporate property damage according to
the Product Liability Law refers to damage caused by the machine. Damage to the machine
is not property damage according to the Product Liability Law.
The operating instructions are a part of the machine, therefore you must transfer them when
selling/transferring the machine to a new user. Train and instruct the new owner in the regu-
lations stated.
The PÖTTINGER service team wishes you the best of luck.

Remove corrosion protection
TIP
Machines that are treated with preserving agents can be recognized by the yellowish wax-
like layer on the surface. For untreated machines, please skip this chapter!
To protect our machines from corrosion damage caused by salt, a preserving agent (Multicor
LH3 Plus, Hersteller Fa. Zeller+Gmelin) should be applied to the entire external surface.
Safety data sheet is available on request from the Pöttinger Client service and the manufac-
turer of the preserving agent.
ENVIRONMENT
Preserving agent and cleaning agent must not be released into the environment and sew-
age systems.
The preserving agent is to be washed off only in a washing facility with a functional oil sep-
arator!
WARNING
Risk of personal injury!
Danger of slipping when accessing the machine.
Health risk through contact with the spray when washing the preserving agent off.
Health risk through contact with the dewaxer provided.
Fire danger through inflammable liquids.
Do not access machine (and machine parts when machine is partially disassembled).
When washing the preserving agent off, always wear personal protective equipment
(protective suit, splash goggles, nitrile gloves, rubber boots, breathing mask with parti-
cle filter). Also refer to the preserving agent safety data sheet and the attached safety
data sheet for the dewaxer provided.
When working with a dewaxer or preserving agent, there must be no fiddling around
with a naked flame, no eating or drinking, no sniffs or smoking.

NOTICE
Danger of property damage
Hot water high pressure cleaning can cause damage to the paintwork, the electrics and hy-
draulics.
Fire danger through inflammable liquids.
Max. water temperature of 80°C / 176°F
When using a high pressure cleaner, observe the safety sticker on the machine and do
not point it directly at the distributor, job calculator, chains and bearings. Replace any
safety stickers that may be missing after washing before operating the machine.
Observe the minimum distance of 30 cm from the high pressure cleaner spearhead to
the painted surfaces, hydraulic hoses, cables and tyres.
When working with a dewaxer or preserving agent, there must be no fiddling around
with a naked flame or smoking.
Implementation
Before mounting the machine fully remove the preserving agent. Only use the dewaxer provi-
ded to remove the preserving agent. Comply with the delivered safety data sheet of the dew-
axer and the safety instructions of the machine.
Carry out dewaxing as described on the safety plate on the machine.
TIP
Any warranty claims are forfeited:
if the preserving agent is improperly, incompletely or not at all removed.
if using a different dewaxer than previously described.

Tightening torque
This factory standard applies to all metric bolts for which no special tightening torque is
specified in the drawing/manual. The relevant grade is visible on the bolt head.
The values given are nominal and are valid for a head friction rate of IJ=0.14 and a
thread friction of IJ=0.125 Slight tensioning force differences can exist through differing
friction rates. The values given are to be kept to a tolerance of ± 10%.
By using the given tightening torque and the existing friction rate used, then up to 90%
of the minimum yield strength of the bolt material is used in accordance with DIN ISO
898 .
If a specific tightening torque is given for a bolt connection, then all these bolt connec-
tions are to be tightened to the specified tightening torque using a torque wrench.

Functional elements
Names and functions
Pos. Element Function
1 The drawbar with drawbar
eye / telescopic drawbar
with attached rocker
allows for narrower curves on a headland. During
transportation; telescoping (Optional).
2 Support stand Ensures stability when the machine is parked.
3 Loading platform with a
ladder
Cabin platform with foldable ladder for filling the seed
hopper as well as for maintenance work.
4 Seed hopper Seed hopper
5 Side loading platform Cabin platform with ladder and staircase for mainte-
nance work.
The side platform is only to be used when machine is
in the operating position.
6 Dosing wheel housing with
dosing wheel
The dosing wheel regulates the sowing rate for the
seed drill; Electric drive.
7 Seed distributor For even seed distribution into the sowing hoses that
lead to the coulter system. Mechanically or electrically
controlled valves at the outputs allow the sowing hose
to be blocked when required.
8 Track marker (Optional) The track marker indicates the track to be driven. Hy-
draulic drive, automatic control.
9 Warning sign with rear
lights, rear right
Rear lamps and warning signs (depending on country
of destination)
10 Tramline marker (Optional) Tramline markers denote the tramlines that are kept
free of seed for machines that follow. Hydraulic drive,
automatic or semi-automatic control.
11 Harrow tines The harrow closes the sowing lines and evenly covers
the seed with soil.
12 Coulter thrust rollers Coulter thrust rollers ensure safe soil closure by re-
compacting the furrow.
13 DUAL DISC double-disc
coulters
The coulter system deposits the seed in the sowing
furrow.
14 Tyre packer The tyre packer ensures controlled and uniform recom-
pacting ahead of the coulters and serves as a chassis
for street transportation.
15 Left edge plate For a uniformly even working pattern, the edge plates
are standard and multi-adjustable on both sides .
16 Disc system (Disc harrow) The maintenance-free, rubber-mounted discs loosen
the soil all over the surface.
17 Rolling cover Rolling cover made from tarpaulin fabric; dust and rain-
proof.
18 Warning sign with side
lights, front left
Front position lamps and warning signs, depending on
country of destination.
