1. General information
1.1 About these instructions
This manual is intended for use by
studio operator,

Any person, assembling or disassembling this tan-
ning device, must have read and understood these
instructions. Always keep this manual at hand.
1.2 Safety signs

1.4 Denitions
STUDIO OPERATOR
People who provide tanning devices to users on a
commercial basis. The studio operator is trained
to operate and maintain the tanning device. He is
responsible for the proper operation of the tanning
device as well as for compliance with the mainte-
nance intervals.

TRANSPORT BY FORKLIFT TRUCK
During transport the tanning device may
be damaged when using forklift forks
that are too short.

The tanning device is mounted on a pallet.
Insert the forks carefully into the openings of the
pallet.
Lift the load by a few centimeters.
Transport the load carefully to the place of
installation.
OTHER MODES OF TRANSPORT
If a forklift truck cannot be used for transport, the tan-
ning device must be partially disassembled and the
parts must be transported individually to the place
of installation, e.g. using a dolly. Depending on the
weight of the components, lifting them might require
several people.

2. Safety notes
2.1 General safety advice
This tanning device was designed exclusively for
use in a commercial environment.
Follow all instructions given in this manual. In addi-
tion, observe all relevant statutory provisions and
regulations, also those applicable in the country of
operation.
The tanning device may only be installed and set
up by trained and authorised personnel having
received safety-related instruction.

equipment must not be disabled or removed.
The tanning device must only be operated when in
perfect working condition.
Never operate the tanning device with the outer
covers or acrylic panes removed.

indicated in the maintenance plan.
Pay attention to the load limit of the bench pane
(tanning bed units only).
The bench must only be opened with the bench
pane folded down.
The canopy is not designed to carry
additional loads.
Do not lean on or over the canopy.
Before carrying out any work, the tanning device
must be disconnected from the mains voltage.

The tools and hardware required to correctly and
safely perform these steps are shown at the begin-
ning of each chapter.
Cable ties which have been removed dur-
ing disassembly have to be replaced dur-
ing assembly.
