BLOTZ B20-EE-005, B20_EE_005, B28-EE-005 Assembly Instructions

  • Hello! I have reviewed the instructions for the Pig Pen and Sty model kit, including both the B20-EE-005 and B28-EE-005 versions. This document provides step-by-step guidance on assembling the pen and sty, with details on aligning the fence and sty walls. I'm ready to answer any questions you may have regarding the assembly process or features of the model.
  • What materials are required for assembly?
Are the steps the same for the 20mm and 28mm kits?
What should I use to hold parts while the glue dries?
Pig Pen and Sty (20mm and 28mm kits)
B20-EE-005 / B28-EE-005
Please read these instructions fully before starting construction.
PVA or equivalent glue will be required to stick sections together.
Sand paper can be used to gently clean any joints.
A sharp modelling knife will be required to remove sections from the sprue. Please use knives with due
care and remember to cut away from yourself at all times.
During the construction of this model, you may find it convenient to use pegs / elastic bands to hold
pieces in place while you allow glue to dry.
These illustrations shown are of the 20mm version of this kit, but the steps required for the 28mm kit
are identical.
Start by removing the base of the pig pen and four
fence sections from the sprue.
Glue the two long sections into position using the
holes/lugs provided.
Then glue the short sides into place. Note the
gateway should be to the right (as shown).
Take the outer fence sections from the sprue. Note
the position of the horizontal bars and make sure they
are all the right way up.
Glue the long sections into place so that the
horizontal bars match those on the inner section
of fence. The ends should align with the posts.
This piece should sit flush to the base.
Glue the short pieces into place (as shown), leaving a
gap for the gate. These should sit flush to the base.
If desired add the outer section to the gate
aligning the horizontal bars – this means there is
a gap between the bottom of the gate and the
base.
The sty is formed from the pieces shown above.
Turn the roof upside down and glue the end walls
into place. The short end of the walls should be
towards the ragged side of the roof.
Glue the front and back walls into place.
(The 28mm version also has an optional door which
can be used to cover the etched door to give a bit
more depth)
