ADJUSTMENTS
Compression damping
Low speed: Turn the slotted centre
screw. High speed: Turn the hexagon
screw. Turn clockwise (+) to increase
damping, turn counter clockwise (-) to
decrease.
Rebound damping
Turn the screw above the end eye/
bracket. Turn clockwise (+) to increase
damping, turn counter clockwise (-) to
decrease.
NOTE!
When delivered the Öhlins shock absorber
is dialed to recommended settings for the
specific brand and make of the vehicle. If you
have changed the setting, reset according to
the Set-up data.
To reset: The adjuster has a right hand thread.
Turn the adjuster clockwise to fully closed
(pos. zero [0]). Turn counter clockwise to
open and count the clicks until you reach the
recommended number in the Set-up data.
CAUTION!
Do not use force, delicate sealing surfaces can
be damaged. Handtighten only.

the contents of the kit listed below. If
anything is missing, please contact your
nearest Öhlins dealer.

During storage and transportation,
especially at high ambient temperature,
the oil and grease used for assembling
may run out inside the packing and
damage the expanded polystyrene
packing material. This is not unusual
and is in no way detrimental to the
product.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Make sure the vehicle is securely positioned so
that it will not tip!

Raise the rear end of the snowmobile.

Remove the original rear shock absorber.

Space the pullrods apart in the rear end by using
one of the supplied M8x95 screws, one 1,5 mm
washer, two 4 mm washers and the original nut.

Install the Öhlins shock absorber with the
reservoir facing downwards. Use the original
screw and nut (but not the sleeve) for the rear
attachment. For the front attachment, use the
supplied M8x95 screw and washers combined
with the original long sleeve and nut as shown in
the figure. The pull rods need to be spaced apart
for clearance to the shock absorber.

Remove the rubber covers on the left inner idler
wheel; otherwise they will collide with the pull
rods. Removing the rubber covers will not affect
the function, only the appearance.
NOTE!
Make sure that all bolts are tightened to the
correct torque and that nothing fouls or restricts
movement of the shock absorber when the
suspension is fully compressed or extended.

When riding the snowmobile wearing all your
riding gear, you must increase or decrease the
rear spring preload until the lower part of the rear
arm is approx 10 mm from the rubber stop. The
spring preload adjustment is based on your total
weight (inclusive luggage or/and a passenger).
