Before installing this product, check
the contents of the kit listed below. If
anything is missing, please contact
your nearest Öhlins dealer.
During storage and transportation,
especially at high ambient temperature,
some of the oil and grease used for
assembling may run out and stain
the packaging. This is in no way
detrimental to hte product, wipe off the
excessive oil/ grease with a cloth.

Raise the rear end of the snowmobile so that
the track is off the ground. Refer to the vehicle
service manual when installing the shock
absorber.
WARNING!
Make sure the vehicle is securely positioned so
that it will not tip while you are working!

Release the rear suspension spring preload.
Refer to the vehicle service manual.

Install the Öhlins shock absorber. The cylinder
head should be toward the front and facing
down. See figure. Use the screws and nuts
provided in this kit.
Make sure that all bolts are tightened to the cor-
rect torque and that nothing fouls or restricts
movement of the shock absorber when the sus-
pension is fully compressed or extended.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The Öhlins shock absorber should be installed with
the cylinder head toward the front and down.
