6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Ensure adequate
ventilation
Environmental Precautions Comply with all applicable health and environmental
regulation. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Methods For Clean-Up Soak up with inert absorbent material. Sweep up and shovel
into suitable containers for disposal.
Other Information Eliminate all sources of ignition, evacuate all unnecessary
personnel
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Avoid breathing vapors, spray mists or sanding dust. In case of
insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Storage Do not store above 120ºF. Store large quantities only in
buildings designed to comply with OSHA 1910.106. Keep
closures tight and container upright to prevent leakage. Never
use pressure to empty. Drum must not be washed out or used
for other purposes.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Precautions to be taken in use
Use only with adequate ventilation.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing vapor and spray mist.
Wash hands after using.
This coating may contain materials classified as nuisance particulates (listed "as Dust" in Section 2) which may be
present at hazardous levels only during sanding or abrading of the dried film. If no specific dusts are listed, the
applicable limits for nuisance dusts are ACGIH TLV 10 mg/m3 (total dust), 3 mg/m3 (respirable fraction), OSHA PEL
15 mg/m3 (total dust), 5 mg/m3 (respirable fraction).
WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old roof coating, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC.
EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN
CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH approved respirator to
control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you start, find out how to

www.epa.gov/lead.
Ventilation
Provide dilution ventilation or local exhaust to prevent build – up of vapors. General exhaust acceptable if the
exposure to materials in Section 2 is maintained below applicable exposure limits.
Respiratory Protection
If personal exposure cannot be controlled below applicable limits by ventilation, wear a properly fitted organic
vapor/particulate respirator approved by NIOSH/MSHA for protection against materials in Section 2.
When sanding or abrading the dried film, wear a dust/mist respirator approved by NIOSH/MSHA for dust which may
be generated from this product, underlying paint, or the abrasive.
Personal Protective Equipment
Eye/Face Protection Safety glasses with side-shields.
Skin Protection Protective gloves and impervious clothing.
Respiratory Protection In case of mist, spray or aerosol exposures wear suitable personal
respiratory protection and protective suit
Hygiene Measures Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Remove and wash
contaminated clothing before re-use. Wash thoroughly after handling
