SECTION 10 – APPLICATION TOOLS
1 gallon and 5 gallon pails
Before attempting to apply, mix the product well in a circular upward-downward motion. For a longer durability, let it dry for 24 hours and then
apply a second coat.
Airless Machine Procedure: Mix Masterflex® Roof Sealer preferably with a mechanical agitator. Remove the filter from the suction bomb
and the machine’s filter. Program the machine to apply the product with 1,400 to 1,750 psi and use a fan with of 6 to control the material
overspray. Use a gun tip from .29” to .36”. Let dry for 12 hours and for longer durability apply a second coat. If the roof is too hot, you can
spray it with water to avoid sealer from fast drying. Select a warm, clear sunny day. Make sure there is no forecast of rain. Keep surface
moisture free at least six hours after application.
It can be applied using a brush, roller, or atomizer.

In case of skin contact, flush from skin with water and then wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush immediately
with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and get emergency medical attention. If swallowed, get medical attention immediately. For
more information, request Material Safety Data Sheet of the product available at Master Paints & Chemical Corp.
SECTION 8 – SURFACE PREPARATION
The roof or surface should be free from dust, sand, cement, fungus and strange objects. A pressure washer machine is recommended. Before
applying Masterflex®, improve water drainage where it is necessary and repair areas where standing water last one day or more. Less severe
pounding areas must be re-coated annually with Masterflex®.
Masterflex® will resist standing water (for 100 hours). However, we recommend repairing and correcting excessive pounding water and
improperly drained areas for a better and efficient sealing by using the Leveling Repair from Master. Roof with excessive pounding water and
improperly drained areas require annual maintenance, applying two (2) coats of Masterflex®.
How to Correct Cracks: Make sure all joints and cracks are sealed with a putty knife by applying Master Elastomeric Crack Filler and the
Master Fiberglass Patching Weave over cracks, seams, flashing and around any standing object, about two inches to both sides and let dry for
24 hours before applying Masterflex®. Apply Master Elastometric Crack Filter with a putty knife. While product is wet, roll out polyester
weave. While product is still wet, apply another coat of Master Elastomeric Crack Filler over the polyester weave.
WARNING! If you scrape, sand, or remove old paint, you may release lead dust or fumes. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD
DUST OR FUMES CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT
WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a properly fitted NIOSH approved respirator and prevent skin contact to control
lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop. Before you star, find out how to protect yourself and your family by
contacting the USEPA National lead Information Hotline at 1-800-424 LEAD or log on to www.epa.gov/lead.
Two coats must be applied in order to get the recommended dry film thickness (MDTF).
Thinning: Not recommended.
Dry time: 1-2 hours to touch
12 hours to recoat
