Procenter Console on an Elevance Chair

When a console chair is ordered, the console mount arm is mounted
on the chair. Remove the shipping bolt before installing the mounting
bolts (in a bag attached to the arm).

Step 2: Remove seat shrouds and seat frame.
A) Remove three screws / washers and RH seat shroud.
B) Repeat for LH seat shroud (not shown).
C) Remove two shoulder bolts / washers and lift seat frame.
Step 3: Install console mounting arm.
A) Remove shipping bolt.
B) Position mounting arm to the right or left as required.
C) Install and tighten three mounting bolts to secure the console
mounting arm.
WARNING
Always disconnect power before removing covers. Failure to do
so may result in personal injury.
Step 1: Remove the seat upholstery.
A) Rotate lock knob.
B) Lift seat upholstery to remove tabs from slots.

Step 5: Fit the console hub into the console mounting arm while routing
the wiring harness, tubing and vacuum lines into the console.

When routing wiring harnesses be aware that all electrical
connections will need to be covered by the inside cover.

Step 6: Level console by tightening, alternately, the eight leveling bolts on
console mounting arm.
Step 4: Remove the inside and outside covers.

Note:
There are two pieces of 1/8 inch blue tubing coming from the umbilical. Use
the piece that fits into the 1/8 inch blue tubing coming from the toggle switch to
connect city water to toggle switch.
The 2nd piece of 1/8 inch blue tubing, coming from the umbilical, and a 3rd
piece that is plugged, coming from the toggle switch, are to be used for an
assistant’s unit. The instructions for making this connection are included with
the Assistant’s Unit installation guide.

Step 7: Install Tubing Adapter and Connect Tubing.
A) Install tubing adapter (from hardware kit) onto 1/4” air supply
tube coming from umbilical.
B) Match colors and connect umbilical tubing to the installed
components.
Note: Tubing is provided to connect bottled water, a delivery unit, and an assistant’s
unit. Leave any unused tubing capped.

The chair umbilical provides connectors for a delivery unit, assistant’s unit and
cuspidor. Not all connectors will be used for all installations.

If outlets on the PCB are identical, either one can be used to connect a mating plug.
Caution
Connect ground wire to ensure system ground continuity.
Failure to do so may result in electric shock.
Step 8: Connect electrical connections from umbilicals and
Elevance Procenter interface PC Board.

Install Cover and Check Installation
Test Verify the following:
1 Console is level.
2 Electrical connections to PC Board are tight.

PC Board is secure inside the mounting box and is
properly grounded to the console frame.
4 Water bottle is screwed in tightly.
5 All console covers (4 total) are securely in place.

No wires or tubing are pinched by covers or
mountings.
7
Wipe console with a soft dry cloth to remove any dirt or
smudges.
