Removing the Chair Pivot Switch Bracket
Step 1: Raise chair to a comfortable working height. (Chair should
be at least 10"- 15“ above floor.)

Note
Tap any one of the lift arm covers 3 times to raise the chair to
the pre-programmed “home” position, a convenient height for
installation or patient access. The chair beeps as it moves
and stops beeping when it reaches the home position.
WARNING
Always disconnect power before removing covers. Failure to do
so may result in personal injury.
Step 2: Remove chair pivot switch bracket (two shoulder bolts in
the slotted holes and two screws in bottom).

Removing the Lift Arm Covers

Step 1: Push in with a screwdriver to release the clip on each side
and pull up to remove the top lift arm cover.
Note: Top lift arm cover has a clip that fits over the dowel rod on the front of the chair.

Step 2: The bottom lift cover hangs from 4 mounting pins on the
chair frame. Pull cover out to free from mounting pins, then
back as you maneuver the cover off the chair frame.

Installing the Rear Mounted Cuspidor
Equipment Alert
Have an assistant support the Cuspidor mount arm and
steady all pivot points to prevent damage to the equipment.

Step 4: After leveling mount arm (Step 2 and 3),
tighten all four hex screws to secure.
Step 1: Mount the cuspidor assembly on the chair pivot using four hex head screws and washers.
Step 2: Keep hex head screws tightened loosely. Level mount arm assembly
to the flooring using the four set screws.

mounting holes by lifting either side.

Assemble the Cuspidor
Step 1: Position the Cuspidor over
the base and gently press
downward.
Step 2: Install faucet and gasket.
Step 3: Install bowl flush spout
and gasket.
Step 4: Install gold drain trap.

Connecting the Tubing and Power on the Rear Mounted Cuspidor / Assistant’s Unit

Step 2: Use at least two ties to hold the wiring harness and vacuum
tubing together and loosely strapped to the chair frame.
Step 1: Remove bottom plate (two screws) and make the electrical
and tubing connections inside the chair frame.
Step 4: Install bottom plate (two screws) to support the wiring and tubing.

Connect 1/4" blue tubing from umbilical.
Step 3: Connect 5/8" drain from
umbilical to facility drain.

Connect 3/4" vacuum from umbilical to facility’s central
vacuum (Not shown).

Additional Wiring Connections Required for an Installation without a Delivery Unit
Step 1: Remove seat upholstery, seat shrouds and the
seat frame to access the toe-end of the chair.
Step 2: Install Procenter Interface PCB and mounting
bracket in the chair.

Installation Checklist
Test Description of good installation criteria
1 Mount Arm and Cuspidor and Assistant’s Unit are level.
2 Mount Arm and Assistant’s Unit rotate and move easily.

Mount Arm stays where placed without drifting. Adjust drag
on pivot points if necessary.

Chair Lift Arm covers are in place and limit switches activate
when covers are tapped.

Chair Pivot covers are securely in place and the limit switch
activates when cover lowers into an obstruction.

Air and Water tools work on the Assistant’s Unit - no wires or
tubing are pinched by covers or mountings.

Wipe Cuspidor with a soft dry cloth to remove any dirt or
smudges.
9 Pressing Cup Fill button activates the Cup Fill function.

Pressing and holding the Cup Fill button runs water thru the
spout, until button is released.
11
Turning the Cup Fill Adjustment Knob allows you to modify
the amount of water the Cup Fill function delivers.
12 There are no leaks in the fill or drain connections or tubing.
