Trailer
Page: Only on Welcome Page.
Description: When configured, it allows to display
advertisement after a defined time when nobody is using the
application. It is defined or can be modified through the
Custom Package.
1. After a defined time without interaction, the trailer is
displayed.
2. Trailer stops when:
Somebody touches the screen.
A barcode is scanned.
A keypad key is pressed.
A door is closed/opened.
The Application stops/restarts.
Something is detected or removed in a locker.

Pages: On Welcome Page/Trailer
Description: The feature allows to manage the barcode scan
from the welcome page and the trailer. Depending of the
configuration: only pickup code or only login barcode can be
scanned from the welcome page /trailer or both.
1. Scan a pickup or login barcode from the Welcome page
or Trailer.
Barcode is a valid login (here Technician).

Page: Welcome Page
Description: The feature allows to identify quickly in case of
maintenance and hotline support: Device ID, Software and
custom package version can be displayed from the welcome
page. It is activated through the Custom Package.
1. Press on the device number (A) on the low right corner.
2. Device identification is displayed.
Press "OK", close the popup or if configured, the system
will close the popup after a defined period.

Description: When there is a Power outage and if the remaining power in the UPS reaches the minimum level, the system
will automatically switch to the “Maintenance” page. That allows to ensure to avoid any data corruption and that all data
were Synchronized before a possible switch off. Of course, when main power is resumed, application will switch back to
normal mode or will restart the system (if switch off).
If nobody is using the machine, system will switch to maintenance mode.

Maintenance Mode when data synchronization
Description: At the start of the application and in the following cases, application will switch to the maintenance for data
synchronization issue:
SMA first installation on the device
Local database removed (i.e. rebuild in progress)
Synchronization is in progress (SMA needs to download and extracts a lot of data)
Server connection issue

As KEBA indoor and Zhilai WW Indoor do not have a KEY to open the box control unit, this function allows the box control
unit to be opened from the "Locker management" menu in the Technician Menu.
On the box control unit, sensor status, damaged status and dirty status are not managed.
Nor is the box control unit taken into account for the number of lockers displayed in the top left-hand corner.

Application Kiosk (Only for Android)1.7
Kiosk Application
The Kiosk application, compatible with an SMA application version 6.3 or higher, helps prevent the user from hacking the
device: prevent the user from accessing the Android desktop and protect the device and the SMA application from any
unexpected user interaction and unexpected internal system actions.
Kiosk App is launched by default on startup.
The Kiosk application is launched before the SMA application. And it is the Kiosk app that automatically launches the SMA
app.
After deploying the Kiosk app, the SMA app no longer needs to be launched manually by clicking the SMA icon. Only the
Kiosk app icon should be used to launch SMA.
Kiosk Application: Installation
It is necessary to install the Kiosk application, which is an Android APK.
Once the APP is installed on the machine, there is nothing more to do in terms of configuration.
The deployment of the new APK must be done AFTER the deployment of SMA version 6.3 or higher.
For installation:
Complete Server version 6.3 update
Deploy SMA version 6.3
Deploy the Kiosk app
The Kiosk app must be manually deployed to each device.
Steps for installation:
Step 1: Drop the Kiosk APK file into the machine (into the "Download" folder)
Step 2: Close SMA if it is running
Step 3: Install the Kiosk app and start the Kiosk app
Step 4: Restart the machine
=> once the machine is restarted successfully, the Kiosk application will start and display the Kiosk mode screen.
=> Then the Kiosk app will launch the SMA. From then on, Kiosk mode will protect the machine

Application Kiosk: Android Access
It is necessary to restart the machine in order to access the Kiosk screen and to have time to launch the actions below.
Note: It is also possible to perform actions from the remote tool, by clicking with the mouse on the corner.
Once on the Android operating system menu, to return to the SMA application, it is imperative to
launch the Kiosk application and not the SMA application

TECHNICIAN MENU
Description: Technician Menu allows to launch different tests
to check the hardware equipments. The current device
date/time is displayed on the screen (badly setup will have
impacts on machine connection and/or wrongly data/time
information sent to servers).
-Technician process allows the Quadient technician to
perform the installation or maintenance of the Parcel
lockers.
-TECHNICIAN process can be added ONLY to Quadient
Logistician (NEO_OP) and on the TECHNICIAN profile.
ONLY ONE QUADIENT / NEOPOST
LOGISTICIAN IS CREATED PER SERVER
AND USED BY ALL COUNTRIES DECLARED
ON THE SERVER.
It is not possible to have several QUADIENT / NEOPOST
LOGISTICIAN PER SERVER. SPECIFIC CONFIGURATION
AND AUTHORIZATION ARE SET BASED ON NEO OP
INSIDE THE SYSTEM.
- Some specific features such as burglary, box closing,
Keypad, text to speech, parcel sensor check are not
taken account inside the Technician module:
-If sensor is activated, in case of a sensor is full, door
can be closed, there is no alert.
-In case of an unexpected door is opened and burglary
is activated, there is no burglary alert.
-In case of an unexpected door is closed and box
closing is activated, the door can be closed. Door is not
blocked.
-Technician user will use the same process to log on
SMA as the Delivery agent. For security it is
recommended to have one Technician user per
Quadient technician and to use the Login/password
process. Not the Access code.
If no action is made, application will logout
automatically after the time defined in the
Custom Package.
1. Select "TECHNICIAN MENU" (A) button.
If you want to logout Technician login, select "LOGOUT"
(B) button.
2. List of available tests/checks (C) is displayed.
Select "RETURN TO OPERATOR MENU" (D) button
to come back to previous screen.
Select "CLOSE PACKCITY APPLICATION" (E) button
to stop the application and so switch to the
Operation System.
Date and time is displayed on top left based on the time
zone set on the machine (windows configuration). The
date time should correspond to the location where the
machine is installed.

Force to close should be activated all the time for security
reason.
Force to close step will be displayed before to return to
Operator home, to check if Technician has well closed all the
doors before to leave the machine.
Button Continue is displayed if all the boxes have been closed
or if the timer is finished if configured.
When the counter is =0 then the user goes to the
Operator Home automatically.
When the counter is >0, user can press continue to
bypass the process. Door still open are not set on
dysfunctional.
In case of control unit is opened, force to close
will not propose to close it.
1. Select "RETURN TO OPERATOR HOME" button.

If some boxes are still opened, the "Close box" screen
is displayed.
Number of opened doors will decrease when a door is
closed.
2. When all doors are closed or if the Technician select the
"CONTINUE" button, system will come back to the
operator menu.
"CONTINUE" button is only displayed until:
All boxes has been closed.
Defined time to display this button has
been reached (Custom Package setting).

Description: It allows to close the application and switch to
the Operating System.
When the application is closed and if the
machine was correctly connected, all data have
been synchronized before the switch off of the
application.
Close Machine Application on Android OS
1. From the Operator Home, the user presses on
“TECHNCIAN MENU” button.
2. Technician menu” appears.
The user presses on “CLOSE APPLICATION” button.
3. The user presses on No to back on Step 2, or presses
YES, the application closes and user accesses to the
operating system.
4. The operating system appears.
5. To launch again the application, user has to double
click on the Application Icon.
Close Machine Application on Windows OS
For Windows system it is possible to use the “Close
application” button OR to, enter CTRL + ALT + DEL
keys. (with keyboard)
For Windows system, when the application SMA is
closed, and Kiosk mode is activated, the SMA will
restart automatically after some minutes.
