Got USB?
The new EUROGRAND digital pianos
do! These master-class pianos merge the
sound and feel of traditional acoustic
instruments with 21
st
century technology
in an attractive, compact and highly
aordable package. The keyboard
features 88 true hammer-action,
weighted keys and a state-of-the-art RSM
(Real Sound Modeling) tone generator
with 14 unique, high-quality voices.
EUROGRAND’s 80-Watt loudspeaker
system lls the room with natural,
spacious stereo sound rivaling that of
its acoustic ancestor.
Performances can be recorded
directly to computer via the built-in
USB interface.
You can also use the USB
interface to record MIDI data directly to
your computer, where you can edit your
performance all the way down to single
note events or even change the tempo of
your piano recording session.
True High-Fidelity Sound
Thanks to our RSM (Real Sound
Modeling) engine, EUROGRAND
instruments sound just like a real acoustic
grand, as well as a variety of other
electronic and acoustic instruments.
RSM technology has revolutionized
the piano in much the same way
that High-Denition has changed
television, bringing a level of realism
to the digital piano that, up until now,
was simply unattainable. For example,
our harpsichord and cembalo settings
even replicate the sound of a rose thorn
plucking the string as the key returns to
its original position. We could get all techy
and talk about sampling rates, bit-depth
and other electronic esoterica until your
eyes glaze over, but just think of these as
“High-Denition pianos!”

Room-lling Sound
Thanks to the built-in 80-Watt stereo
amplier and custom-designed loudspeaker
system, these pianos can ll the room with
rich, natural sound that belies their compact
size. And for those times when you’d rather
practice or play without bothering others,
each piano features dual headphone jacks
that automatically switch the internal
speakers o. This feature is extremely handy
for student/teacher sessions.
Studio-grade FX
There are few things that sound better
than a grand piano being played in a
concert hall. Thats why we’ve equipped
the EUROGRAND with a state-of-the-art
FX processor. We’ve taken the liberty of
choosing some of our favorite eects for
the individual instruments, but you are
free to change them at any time. Available
reverb eects include CHAMBER, CONCERT,
CHURCH, THEATER. And there are also special
eects, such as CHORUS (a slight doubling
sound), FLANGER (a “wobbly” sound created
by studio wizardry), TREMOLO (pulsating
change in volume), and DELAY (echo).
Getting Connected…
The EUROGRAND is equipped with a
tremendous variety of audio I/O (Input/
Output) connections. An XLR MIC socket with
available phantom power is provided for use
with dynamic and condenser mics—a pretty
handy feature for sing-along and podcasting
applications. RCA LINE IN jacks accept
signals from external sound sources,
such as MIDI sound modules, CD/Tape
decks or drum computers. Additionally,
a ¹⁄₈" minijack is provided for connecting
an MP3 or MD player. These inputs make
it easy to play along with pre-recorded
music, which can be played back through
the internal loudspeakers or the privacy
of headphones.
If you want to expand on EUROGRAND’s
already robust loudspeaker system, LINE OUT
jacks are provided to connect to external
keyboard ampliers, PA or home stereo

systems. You can also use the LINE

recording equipment, allowing you
to share your songs with friends and
family, or create an archive of your
personal performances.
Universal Serial Bus
Built-in USB and MIDI ports make
it easy to connect the EUROGRAND
to your computer and external sound
modules, opening a whole new world of
recording, performing and podcasting
options. As a bonus, each EUROGRAND
comes with an outstanding DVD software
bundle, including eMedias Starter Piano
and Keyboard Lessons and a variety of
podcasting programs and utilities.
You can easily create your own songs
on your PC/Mac computer, using software
instruments and the digital pianos sound
generator, and then play them back
through EUROGRAND’s powerful built-in
speaker system. You can even connect a
microphone (not included) to the piano
and record vocal performances onto
your computer.
Learning Piano
So, you have always wanted to learn
to play the piano, but never quite found
the right teacher or made the time for
lessons. We thought of that and included
a piano instructor inside each and every
package (on DVD of course!). The highly
acclaimed eMedia Starter Piano and
Keyboard Lessons software will have you
playing in no time at all. This outstanding
instructional software comes with easy
to follow audio and video examples and
a virtual keyboard that shows you which
notes to play in real-time. Learning the
piano has never been this easy!

Thanks for the Memory
The built-in 2-track sequencer allows you
to record and play back a song without any
additional hardware. Each of the two tracks
can record up to two sounds, which means
you can play back up to four dierent
sounds simultaneously. Then, when you play
along with the recorded tracks, you can add
two more “live sounds, creating complex
performances with up to six dierent layers.
The sequencer also makes a highly
eective learning tool. Lets say you’re
learning a new piece of music. First, record
the song at a slow enough tempo to
execute it awlessly. Then, play along with
the sequence and gradually increase the
tempo until you reach your speed goal.
Or, if you’re having trouble getting your
left hand to cooperate in a particularly
dicult piece, you can record the right hand
part and work through the troublesome
section. This allows you to practice parts
individually, speeding up the learning
process. And if you are working with an
instructor, you can have him/her record the
song you are working on and then play along
at a tempo you can manage.
Need to Change the Key?
The EUROGRAND pianos transpose
function allows you to change the key at the
ick of a switch. This feature really comes
in handy if you’re accompanying a vocalist
who is more comfortable with a higher or
lower key than the original version. You can
raise or lower the pitch by half-steps, up to a
full octave.
Alternate Tunings
The tuning system we use today is
referred to as “Equal” tuning. It has been
a characteristic element of the music
composed from the 17
th
century to the
present, with the notes in an octave divided
into twelve equal parts. But this has not
always been the standard.
Over the ages, piano tunings
have come and gone. Some of these
tunings were created specically for
the works of renowned composers and
are representative of specic musical
periods. Renaissance and Baroque are
two examples of periods when certain
musical intervals fell in and out of favor.
EUROGRAND pianos allow you to select
authentic period tunings, so you can hear
the works of Beethoven, Bach, and the
other master composers as they were
originally intended.
Tuning an acoustic piano is a
time-consuming and expensive process,
and it would have to be done often to
accommodate both the old” and “new”
tuning systems. Since the EUROGRAND is
digital, it’s as simple as pressing a button
to access any of the following tunings:
• Equaltuning(defaultsetting)
• Puremajortuning
• Pureminortuning
• Pythagoreantuning
