HESSAIRE FLOAT VALVE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

● DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER TO COOLER BEFORE INSTALLING OR SERVICING FLOAT VALVE.
● FLOAT VALVE INSTALLATION MUST COMPLY WITH COOLER MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS AND APPLICABLE
ELECTRICAL AND BUILDING CODES
● USE ONLY IN UPRIGHT POSITION.
1) Before you begin replacing your evaporative cooler Float valve, turn off and
unplug your unit.
2) Carefully remove the back panel and media from your cooler by removing
the 2 Phillip screws and slide up then pull down and out on the panel.
3) Unscrew and remove the brass hose adapter
4) Unscrew and remove the plastic retainer nut on the outside of the cooler
5) Unscrew the wing nut that is located on the portion of the float valve inside
the cooler
6) Allow the bulb portion of the float to drop through the slot into the water
reservoir and remove it from the cooler
7) Remove the remaining portion of the float valve and discard
8) Insert the arm of the new float up through the water reservoir into the slot
and attach the wing nut.
9) Then feed the valve through the exterior cavity on the side of the cooler
and connect it to the arm. Be sure to adjust at a 45degree angle, never
straight downward, ensuring it does not hit the media panel.
10) Screw the plastic retainer nut tightly back into place, then reattach the
brass hose adapter.
11) Replace your rear media, panels, and screws.
