Thetopicprovidessafetyguidelinesthatyouneedtoreadbeforeyouinstalltheserverinarackcabinet.
Reviewthedocumentationthatcomeswiththerackcabinetforsafetyandcablinginformation.Beforeyou
installtheserverinarackcabinet,reviewthefollowingguidelines:

UsetheM6screwsthatcomewithsliderailstoinstalltheserverinarackcabinetifyouplantotransport
therackcabinettoanotherlocationwiththeserverinstalledortherackisinavibration-pronearea.
Youcaninstallthecablemanagementarmoneithersideoftherack.Theseinstructionsareshownwith
thecablemanagementarmmountedontheleftside.Theinstallationinstructionsinthisdocumentcanbe
reversedifyouareinstallingthecablemanagementarmontheothersideoftherack.
Twoormorepeoplearerequiredtoinstalldevices2Uorlargerinarackcabinet.
Seetheserverdocumentationforthemaximumroomairtemperature.
Donotblockanyairvents;usually15cm(6in.)ofspaceprovidesproperairflow.
Donotleaveopenspacesaboveorbelowaninstalledserverinyourrackcabinet.Tohelpprevent
damagetoservercomponents,alwaysinstallablankfillerpaneltocovertheopenspaceandtohelp
ensureproperaircirculation.
Installtheserveronlyinarackcabinetwithperforateddoors.
Planthedeviceinstallationstartingfromthebottomoftherackcabinet.
Installtheheaviestdeviceinthebottomoftherackcabinet.
Donotextendmorethanonedeviceoutoftherackcabinetatthesametime.
Removetherackdoorsandsidepanelstoprovideeasieraccessduringinstallation.
Connecttheservertoaproperlygroundedoutlet.
Donotoverloadthepoweroutletwhenyouinstallmultipledevicesintherackcabinet.
Installtheserverinarackthatmeetsthefollowingrequirements:
Minimumdepthof70mm(2.76in.)betweenthefrontmountingflangeandinsideofthefrontdoor.
Minimumdepthof157mm(6.18in.)betweentherearmountingflangeandinsideofthereardoor.
Minimumdepthof718mm(28.27in.)andmaximumdepthof762mm(30in.)betweenthefrontand
rearmountingflangestosupporttheuseofthecablemanagementarm.
Note:ThemaximumdistancebetweenthefrontandtherearEIArailsoftherackis810mm(31.9in.).
