GRIP-LOK®
For use with switch boxes that have plaster ears
For use with new construction and remodeling projects
Installation Instructions:
Disconnect all power sources
Trace outline of the box onto the drywall with a marker and saw an opening. Opening
should be slightly larger than the box
Break the GRIP-LOK® into two pieces (Picture 1)
Insert box with plaster ears into the opening in the drywall
While pushing the box against the drywall, insert in the direction of the arrow on GRIP-
LOK® between the box and drywall (Picture 2)
Pull up, pivot the remaining portion of the GRIP-LOK® into the gap, and push down.
Pull 90 degree tabs towards you until snug
Bend both tabs into the switch box (Picture 3)
Repeat other side in same manner
Back side after installation should look like (Picture 4) and not have any movement. This
