as low receiving antenna height, low antenna gain and signal level fluctuation, more strong transmission
parameter is desirable, that is QPSK.
3. In hierarchical transmission system, strongest layer is named "A", next is "B".
As mentioned above, in hierarchical transmission system, it is possible to select adequate transmission
parameter according to reception. That means when “One-Seg” is using, Layer A must be set to 1 segment.
4. The only allowed segment configurations are three of the following:
Layer A
Layer A + Layer B
Layer A + Layer B + Layer C
All other combinations are not allowed and the sum of these segments is 13.
Caution: If the “Data Rate” is higher than “Layer Bitrate”, edit the Layers and PID selected until the
“Data Rate” is lower than “Layer Bitrate”.
Total Bitrate for ISDB-T modulator:
𝑇𝑜𝑡𝑎𝑙𝐵𝑖𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑒 = 𝐿𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑅𝑎𝑡𝑒(𝐴) + 𝐿𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑅𝑎𝑡𝑒(𝐵) + 𝐿𝑎𝑦𝑒𝑟𝑅𝑎𝑡𝑒(𝐶)
5. Maximum Data rate is about 30.979 Mbps for a 8 MHz channel.
6. Each layer can be configured with up to 30 PID.
7. “Analysis”: analysis the TS that you give to the transponder, give more detailed TS information and you
can set different pids to each Layers.
8. “Reset Core”: Change all parameters to settings of TMCC information including TS, the settings by
default value.
9. “Load”: After changing any parameters and PIDs table, please, click “Load” button to make them work.
10. The following ISDB-T parameters can be changed through the interface:
11. Time Interleaver (for each layer): 0,1,2,4 or 0,2,4,8 or 0,4,8,16 (depending on OFDM mode), the
corresponding value is from 0 to 3.
