1. Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
TBS2922 DVB IP Router is designed to ensure reliable reception of EUMETSAT weather data services.
Based on TBS's latest generation hardware and enhanced system platform, TBS2922 provides a friendly and
easy way to gain and stream EUMETSAT weather data.
A lot of work has been done in the streaming system, so that available frequencies for EUMETSAT weather data
has been pointed in the web UI for selection directly. There is no need for users to configure the satellite
parameter manually.
Furthermore, when the relevant data is sent to network, the EUMETSAT specified client program like TELICAST
will be able to detect and monitor the data in real time.
1.2 Application
The friendly web UI has included all available frequencies for EUMETSAT weather data
The streaming data from TBS2922 router will be auto-detected by TELLICAST Multicast distribution system.

2. Hardware description.
TBS2922 DVB to IP router has 4 RF input supporting to receive free satellite signal from 8 transponders
simultaneously. Each of the RF port is for connecting different signal:
RF-0 is for V/L.
RF-1 is for V/H.
RF-2 is for H/L.
RF-3 is for H/H
LAN-1: A 1Gb RJ45 port, is available for data streaming.
LAN-2: A 1Gb RJ45 port, is available for data streaming, as well.

3. Web GUI setting
3.1. GUI log in
Connect TBS2922 to the router and turn on the power. The box is set to DHCP to get IP.
The IP address of TBS2922 will be showed in the LED screen.
Connect your PC/desktop to the same router and enter TBS2922 IP address in the browser to log in the
Web GUI. The default network port is 8081.
TBS2922 default login/password is: root/root.
3.2. Network setting:
Both LAN-1 and LAN-2 are 1Gb network port, which can be used to manage the server and stream the
EUMETSAT data.

3.3. EUMETCast Setting
The satellite transponders list in “EUMETCast service” has included all available meteorological frequencies.
There is no need to configure the meteorological satellite parameter by users.
Select “Network interface” for streaming the data, port eth1 or port eth2.
Select transponders from “EUMETCast service, and add to The Selected EUMETCast service” on the right
side.
Click Start, the data will be sent to TELLICAST Multicast distribution system automatically.

3.4. TELLICAST Multicast distribution system
The EUMETCAST meteorological data steaming from TBS2922 is bound to a specific IP address for
TELLICAST Multicast distribution system. So, after clicking “Start”, TELLICAST will detect the data directly.

If you want to monitor or analyze the data by other platform or software, please contact us to change the
binding IP address.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Instructions for returning by mail
Instruments returned for repair or calibration, either within or out of the warranty period, should be
sent with the following information: Name of the Company, name of the contact person, address,
telephone number, receipt (in the case of coverage under warranty) and a description of the problem or
the service required.

5.2 Cleaning Recommendations
CAUTION:To clean the cover, take care the instrument is disconnected.
CAUTION: Do not use scented hydrocarbons or chlorized solvents. The cover should be cleaned by
means of a light solution of detergent and water applied with a soft cloth. Dry thoroughly before using the
system again.
CAUTION: Do not use for the cleaning alcohol or its derivatives, these products can attack the
mechanical properties of the materials and diminish their useful time of life.
