Mandik AHU-HYG – BIM - IFC - RFA User guide

  • Hello! I've reviewed the document about BIM model creation and transfer. It details the process of exporting models from AHUMAN software using the IFC format, importing models to Autodesk Revit with the Mandik Plugin, and saving them in RFA format. The BIM model encompasses geometry, properties and technical parameters. I am here to answer any questions you might have about this process or the tools involved.
  • What is BIM?
What is the IFC data format used for?
What is the functionality of Mandik Plugin?
BIM
Building Information Modeling (BIM) describes a method for optimized planning, designing,
construction, and management of an edifice, mostly by using the appropriate software, such as
Autodesk Revit. The model of the given object carries not only information about geometry but
also about its properties and technical parameters. The AHUMAN
designing software allows you to export an IFC file, which can be
loaded into Autodesk Revit using the Mandik Plugin and then saved
in RFA format.
IFC
The international IFC data format is used to transmit BIM models. It
determines the digital description of the building.
Identity (name, type, function of edifice,…)
Properties (material, color, technical parameters,…)
Background (location, links, ownership,…)
Abstract concepts (behavior, costs,…)
Processes (installation, operation,…)
People (owners, planners/designers, suppliers,…)
Revit
Autodesk Revit is BIM software for Microsoft Windows,
which allows to the users to design models including their
parameters.
Plugin
Mandík Plugin for Autodesk Revit, which can be
downloaded from Mandík's websites, allows you to
record the AHU into Revit.
RFA
The file RFA (Revit Family) is classified as a data file which contains 3D
models, created by Autodesk Revit software.
