Important

Before you begin: Open, identify and count all parts prior to assembly. Lay out parts on a flat and non-

abrasive surface. You will need the parts identified on page 3 and 4 of this instruction manual.

NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE GLUE WITH DOWELS. EXCESS GLUE CAN BE WIPED OFF

WITH DAMP CLOTH.

Insert Dowel at least half way by tapping lightly with a rubber mallet, IF NECESSARY.

CAM LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION

HOW THE KNOCK DOWN (KD) ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WORKS

1. Screw the Cam Bolt into the threaded inserts on the panel. Connect both panels together; making sure Cam

Bolt goes into the pre-drilled hole on the end of panel for Cam Lock.

2. Insert the Cam Lock into the pre-drilled large hole on the panel. Make sure the arrow on the face of Cam

Lock faces out and points towards Cam Bolt.

3. Take a Phillips screwdriver and rotate the Cam Lock clockwise to lock the Cam Bolt in place.

4. Plug the Cam Lock Cover into the cross slot of the Cam Lock to conceal the Cam.

You are now ready to assemble the KD unit.

Assembly Instructions

1. Unpack the unit and confirm that you have all the hardware and required parts.

2. Place Right Frame Front and Back Panels (I and J) and Right Frame Top Panel (K) on a level and

protective surface with the holes facing up. Insert and screw the Cam Bolts (2) all the way into the

designated small holes as shown in the illustration.

3. Gently tap one Floor Protector (14) onto the bottom of Right Frame Front and Back Panels (I and J)

respectively. Make sure the Floor Protectors rest on the center of panel for avoiding any damage or crack.

Assembly Instructions

4. Insert the M8 x 40 mm Wood Dowels (4) into the outer end holes of the Right Frame Bottom Panel (L)

and the Side Panel (M) as a guide. Make sure you use a small amount of glue with both ends of all

dowels.

5. Align and attach Right Frame Bottom Panel (L) and Right Frame Side Panel (M) to the Right Frame

Front Panel (I) by engaging two Cam Locks (1) (Refer to page 2 on Cam Lock system operation

supplement). Ensure the Cam Locks point outward and the top edges are flush with each other.

6. Repeat last step to attach the Right Frame Back Panel (J) at the opposite end.

7. Align and attach the Right Frame Top Panel (K) to the last assembly using six M8 x 40 mm Wood

Dowels (4) and four Cam Locks (1), as shown.

8. Insert and screw the Cam Bolts (2) into the designated small holes on the Left Cabinet Panels (A, B, E

and F), as shown in the illustration.

9. Fasten 2 Plastic Stoppers (12) to the top of Left Cabinet Right Side Panel (F) using four M3.5 x 12 mm

Pan Head Screws (6) into the pilot holes. Make sure the right-angle side of the Stopper will point up.

10. Gently tap two Floor Protectors (14) onto the bottom of Left Cabinet Front and Back Panels (A and B)

respectively. Make sure the Floor Protectors rest on the center of panel for avoiding any damage or crack.

11. Insert two M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (3) into the inner end holes of the Left Cabinet Fix Shelf (C) and

attach to the Left Cabinet Left Panel (E) by using two Cam Locks (1). Ensure the Cam Locks point

outward.

Assembly Instructions

12. Insert one M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowel (3) into the middle end hole of the Left Cabinet Left Side Panel

(E) and attach to the Left Cabinet Back Panel (B) by engaging 2 Cam Locks (1).

13. Align and attach Left Cabinet Bottom Panel (D) to the Left Cabinet Back Panel (B) using one M8 x 30

mm Wood Dowel (3) and one Cam Lock (1). Make sure the Cam Lock will face floor when the unit is

turned upright.

14. With the help from your assistant, align and attach the last assembly to the Left Cabinet Right Side

Panel (F) by using six M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (3) and seven Cam Locks (1).

Assembly Instructions

15. Insert four M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (3) into the end holes of the assembled unit as a guide. DO NOT

put dowels into the Cam Bolt holes. Align and attach the Left Cabinet Front Panel (A) to the assembled

unit by engaging six Cam Locks (1).

Assembly Instructions

16. Stand the assembled cabinet upright and plug the Grommet (18) into the pre-drilled hole on the Left

Cabinet Back Panel (B).

17. Extend the Hinges (17) and rest the Hinge Cups onto the cutouts of Flip Panel (G). Secure the Hinges

(17) in place by using two M3.5 x 12 mm

Zinc Screws (5) in each.

18. Pick up the Flip Panel (G) and fasten the Hinge Bases onto the Left Cabinet Left Side Panel (E) with the

enclosed self-tapping bolts. DO NOT fully tighten the bolts.

19. Close the Flip Panel (G) to double check the alignment. If you find that the flip panel needs to be

adjusted slightly, please refer to the hinge sticker on the Flip Panel and turn the appropriate screws for

perfect alignment. After adjusted tighten the screws on Hinge Base to lock the hinges in place.

Assembly Instructions

20. Pick up Ball Bearing Slides (U and V) and separate the Slide Runners for later step. Extend the Slide Runner

all the way forward. Press the plastic release lever of the slides up and pull the Slide Runner complete out.

21. Attach the separated Slide Tracks (U and V) to the Left Cabinet Right Side Panel (F) and Right Frame

Side Panel (M) respectively with three M3.5 x 12 mm Pan Head Screws (6) per Slide Track. Ensure the

slide opening points toward front of the unit.

22. Screw ten Cam Bolts (2) all the way into the designated small holes as shown in the illustration.

Assembly Instructions

23. Align and attach Back Bottom Stretcher (P) to the Cabinet Right Side Panel (F) using one M8 x 30 mm

Wood Dowel (3) and one Cam Lock (1). Ensure the Cam Lock points toward back of the unit.

24. Attach Front Stretcher (N) and Back Top Stretcher (O) to the Cabinet Right Side Panel (F) using four

Cam Locks (1). Ensure the Cam Locks on Back Top Stretcher (O) point toward back of the unit.

25. Repeat the procedure to attach the assembled Right Frame at the opposite end.

26. Fasten 6 Metal Brackets (13) to the Metal Frame (S) by screwing the M4 x 18 mm Screws (7) through

the short end of metal bracket. Ensure the long end of Metal Brackets (13) is flush with the outer edge

of Metal Frame (S).

27. Align and attach the Metal Frame (S) between the inner Side Panels (F and M) using six M6 x 12 mm

Bolts (8) through the installed Metal Brackets (13).

28. Insert and screw three Cam Bolts (2) all the way into the designated small holes on Keyboard Tray

Molding (R) as shown in the illustration.

29. Insert four M8 x 30 mm Wood Dowels (3) into the side hole of the Keyboard Tray Molding (R) and

attach to the Keyboard Tray (Q) by engaging three Cam Locks (1) (Refer to page 2 on Cam Lock

system operation supplement).

Assembly Instructions

30. Using the pilot holes as a guide, attach the separated Left and Right Slide Runners (U and V) to the

bottom of Keyboard Tray (Q) using four M3.5 x 12 mm Pan Head Screw (6) through the metal tabs.

Assembly Instructions

31. Extend the Slide Tracks (U and V) on the desk frame all the way forward (including ball bearing cart).

Align the Slide Runners on the Keyboard Tray (Q) with the Slide Tracks and push the tray carefully

inside until it stops.

NOTE: If the Keyboard Tray does not go in smoothly, please take it out and repeat the step. If you need

to remove the keyboard tray, please pull the tray all the way out, then simultaneously push the plastic

release lever of the ball bearing slides up on one side and down on the other side, and then pull it

completely out.

32. Put the rubber bumper onto each Shelf Pin (11). Insert the other end of Shelf Pins in your desired

location inside the cabinet. Make sure you place the Shelf Pins in the same level so the shelf is not tilted.

Rest the Adjustable Shelf (H) onto the Shelf Pins installed.

Assembly Instructions

33. Put six Suction Cups (15) firmly into the top holes of the Metal Frame (S). Stick the Rubber Bumpers

(16) onto the Plastic Stoppers (12) and short rails of the Metal Frame (S).

34. Position the Glass Top (T) with the black side of glass down onto the Suction Cups (15). Make sure the

glass is properly centered. NOTE

: If glass is scratched you can minimize the damage by using a

BLACK marker and filling in scratched area from underneath.

35. Gently tap 2 Cam Lock Covers (9) onto the Cam Locks (1) on the Right Frame Front and Back Panel (I

and J) with a rubber mallet to ensure they are fully seated. Plug Cam Lock Caps (10) onto the visible Cams

Locks to conceal the Cams.

Care and Maintenance

 Use a soft, clean cloth that will not scratch the surface when dusting.

 Use of furniture polish is not necessary. Should you choose to use polish, test first in an inconspicuous area.

 Using solvents of any kind on your furniture may damage your furniture’s finish.

 Never use water to clean your furniture as it may cause damage to the finish.

 Always use coasters under beverage glasses and flowerpots.

 Liquid spills should be removed immediately. Using a soft clean cloth, blot the spill gently. Avoid rubbing.

 Always use protective pads under hot dishes and plates. Heat can cause chemical changes that may create

spotting within the furniture finish.

 Stains or marks from crayons or ink markers will be difficult to remove.

 In the event that your furniture is stained or otherwise damaged during use, we recommend that you call a

professional to repair your furniture.

 Check bolts/screws periodically and tighten them if necessary.

Further advice about wood furniture care

It is best to keep your furniture in a climate-controlled environment. Extreme temperature and humidity

changes can cause fading, warping, shrinking and splitting of wood. It is advised to keep furniture away from

direct sunlight as sun may damage the finish.

Proper care and cleaning at home will extend the life of your purchase. Following these important and helpful

tips will enhance your furniture as it ages.

A Touch-up Pen has been provided to repair any small nicks or scratches that may occur during

assembly or shipping.
