INSTALLING THE HARD DRIVE
The manufacturer reccomends using a SATA hard drive. Before installing, cut o the main power supply.
Fit the hard drive to the lower part of the PC's shell, only after connecting the power supply and data cables.

HOW TO SWITCH THE DVR ON AND OFF
To switch on the DVR
Connect the videocamera to the monitor, connect the DVR to the power supply. The blue LED switches on and the WIZARD window appears on the screen.
To switch o the DVR
The DVR can be switched o by using either the IR remote control or the mouse.
with the remote control
Press the remote control's power button; the SHUT DOWN window will appear on the screen. Click OK.
using the mouse
Access MENU and select SHUT DOWN. CLICK OK.
It is always advisable to disconnect the power supply cable after performing all shutting down procedures.
WIZARD
Switch on the DVR. A WIZARD will appear on the monitor.
You can congure: TIME, NETWORK, RECORDING TYPE and HARD DISK HANDLING.
Click DEVICE NAME and the keyboard will appear.
You can enter DIGITS, LETTERS, SYMBOLS. Use SHIFT to enter capital letters and symbols.
Click on NEXT to congure the port.

You can:
a- Check OBTAIN AN IP ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY
b- Manually enter the parameters shown below.

ALTERNATE DNS SERVER : this selection allows you to remotely use/view the DVR.
CH (CHANNEL)
RESOLUTION : select the type registration resolution
FPS: select the number of frames per second
ENCODE: select the type of encoding
QUALITY: select the quality
MAX BITRATE: select the maximum BITRATE. The greater the value, the clearer the image and the greater the space taken up on the hard drive.
Click on NEXT to access the window for managing the hard drive.
If the HARD DRIVER is just installed, proceed to format it.

Click FINISH to exit the WIZARD.
Click EXIT to not carry out the wizard.

SCHEDULE
This window lets you schedule recordings. There are four dierent recording modes.
Manual recording press REC on the DVR. To end recording, press REC again.
You can use the mouse to start/end recording by clicking REC on the tool bar.
Scheduled recording
BASIC: to set up the video system, the language menu, the audio, the time and the authorizations control.
LIVE: to set up the NAME/TIME to view, the images' color and hide the videocameras.
RECORD: to set up the recording quality, the photograms' frequency, the resolution, time and recycling.
SCHEDULING: the schedule recordings, motion detection, and the alarm.
ALARM: set up the sensor type, alarm and buzzer activation.
NETWORK: to enable the feature, congure the IP address, the DDNS and the video transmission parameters.
USERS: to add, delete or modify their authorizations. This procedure can only be done by the administrator.
P.T.Z.: videocamera pan, tilt and zoom.
ADVANCED: to relaunch the DVR, import or export data from/on external drives.
SETUP
Press the MENU button or, using the mouse, right click to access the SETUP window.
LOGIN (LOGIN)
Press the MENU button to view the LOGIN window. Enter USERNAME and PASSWORD.

The recording starts and ends a the preset times.
From SETUP select SCHEDULE. Click on to schedule recording. Click on to cancel scheduling.
Double clicking on the grill brings up the weekly scheduling window. On WEEK DAYS select the day and click ADD to set up the recording starting and
ending times.
Click COPY to copy the settings you have just made to other days. Select OL to save the weekly schedule.
The schedule recording procedure needs to be done for each CHANNEL, but you can also set the same schedule on all of the channels by selecting APPLY
SETTINGS TO ALL and clicking COPY.
Record on movement
Recording activates when a sensor detects any movement.
From SETUP select MOTION.
Enable the motion detection by checking ENABLE next to the channel (CH) on which you wish to activate the movement recording.
Click APPLY to save the settings. In the AREA box click SETTING to set the detection area and sensitivity.
Sensor recording
From SETUP select SCHEDULE, SENSOR, BASIC.
Enable the sensor alarm by checking ENABLE next to the channel (CH) on which you wish to activate the sensor recording.
Click APPLY to save the settings. Then select SCHEDULE to view the saved settings.

PLAYBACK
There are four dierent playback modes.
LIVE playback
To launch LIVE playback click on on the main menu bar of the SEARCH window. Use the displayed controls to view playback.
Playback with TIME SEARCH
From MENU, SEARCH, select TIME SEARCH.
On the right side of the window, select the date and channels.
Click SEARCH. Give the recording start and end times.
Click to launch the searched playback.

Playback with EVENT SEARCH
From MENU, SEARCH select EVENT SEARCH.
On the right side of the window, select the data and channels. Click on SEARCH.
Depending on the search you want to make, check MOTION, SENSOR or ALL.
The events will appear. Select the event by double clicking.
Playback with IMAGE
From MENU, SEARCH select IMAGE
On the right side of the window, select the data and channels. Click on SEARCH.
When the image you are searching is found, you can playback by double clicking on the image.
Click LOCK to block the image, while clicking SAVE, saves the image to the hard drive.
Click to SAVE ALL, to save all images onto the hard drive.
To save images, activate the feature TAKE SNAPSHOT on the ALARM HANDLING window.
BACKUP
BACKUP is available via UBS.
From the BACKUP window you can set the backup starting and ending time and select the channels.
The ALL feature lets you back up everything.
The set BACKUP options can be controlled by users.
BACKUP starts by clicking on the START button.
REMOTE CONTROL
Remote control is only available if the DVR is connected to the LAN/WAN or to the internet.
Accessing the DVR via the LAN
MENU, SETUP, NETWORK and select the NETWORK card.
Enter the following data into the card
IP ADDRESS
SUBNET MASK
GATEWAY
If using the DHCP, you need to enable it on both the DVR and the ROUTER.
You can control the DVR's network settings from the INFORMATION window.
To set the network video parameters, photogram frequency, and so on) select RECORD SETUP.
Open the browser and enter the DVR's IP address and press send.
The ActiveX component is downloaded from the browser.
If the http port is not the default one (80), enter the http port after the IP address.
You will need to provide USERNAME and PASSWORD.

Accessing the DVR via WAN
MENU, SETUP NETWORK
Enter IP ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK and GATEWAY.
If using the DHCP, you need to enable it on both the DVR and the ROUTER.
Forward the IP ADDRESS and the port number on the ROUTER's or virtual server's VIRTUAL SERVER. Congure the rewall to permit access to the DVR.
Avoid this step if the UpnP feature is enabled in the DVR and ROUTER.
Open the browser, enter the IP ADDRESS or the dynamic domain name and press ENTER.
If the http port is not the default one (80), enter the http port after the IP address.
You will need to provide USERNAME and PASSWORD.
Connecting the DVR to the internet via PPPoE
From MENU, SETUP NETWORK, enable PPPoE, then enter USERNAME and PASSWORD. Click on APPLY
The DVR connects to the server and sends a conrmation message.
You can use a dynamic domain name, requesting it from the DNS server that works with the DVR or Router. This dynamic domain name needs to be
added to the DVR or to the Router.
When remotely accessing, entering the IP ADDRESS, will provide direct access.
The ActiveX component is downloaded from the browser.
APPENDIX
Control from mobile device
Enable the network service on the DVR.

Tests made on: Dopod D600 (WM5) and Dopod S1 (WM6)
WINDOWS MOBILE
Activate the network access on the smartphone and open the browser. Enter the server address. The connection will be created.
Click on the software's name (PCam). The DOWNLOAD window will appear. Select YES.
The PCam software will open automatically.

In the SERVER eld enter the server address.
In the USER eld enter the following user name (admin).
In the PASSWORD eld enter the following password (123456).
Click GO.
After LOGIN, CAM1 is the preset one on channel 1. You may change the channel.
SYMBIAN
Supported versions:
Symbian S40, Symbian UIQ, Symbian S80, Symbian S60, Symbian S60 3rd Edition-Symbian OS v9.1, Symbian S60 3rd Edition con FP 1-Symbian OS v9.2,
Symbian S60 3rd Edition with FP2-Symbian OS v9.3, Symbian S60 5th Edition-Symbian OS v9.4, Symbian S60 5.1 Edition-Symbian OS v9.5
Activate the network access on the smartphone and open the browser. Enter the server's IP address. Establish the connection.
Download the software. Select YES when the installation security window appears. An antifraud program will also install. Execute the program.

Access the installed software and select SYSTEM SETTING, LOGIN SETTING.
To types of viewing are possible: LIVE VIEW and IMAGE view.
A HELP feature is also available.
Enter the server address, ID and password. Save.
THE ACCESS POINT and SERVICE PROVIDER dier depending on the country.
Access LIVE VIEW.
USERNAME and PASSWORD : admin / 123456.
With LIVE VIEW you can take photographs, change channels and control the PTZ.

iOS
On AppleStore nd SUPERLIVE_pro. Install the application onto the phone. The iPhone will request a password to continue the installation, even if
the application is free.
In case you are using a PC instead of a smartphone:
Install iTunesStore on the PC, and connect the iphone to the PC. Download the SUPERLIVE_pro. application from iTunes. Then iTunes will ask for
username and password.
Continue with the download.

From your smartphone, open the browser and enter the server address. Click on Supercam and download it. If it doesn't download, delete the
cache from the browser. With touch screen smartphones, there may be compatibility issues with the Supercam application. To solve this, disable
compatibility from the options menu.
