Unit A Device Settings
• Frequency (Hz): 863500000
o Devices which are communicating with
each other much use the same
• Transmission Power: Low
o Higher = longer range
• Spread Factor: SF7
o SF7 is faster than SF12, but SF12 is
more reliable transmission than SF7
o We recommend between SF7 and SF8
• Bandwidth: 500
o Higher = faster
• Equivalent bitrate: (Automatically calculated
based on Spread Factor and Bandwidth)
o This will affect what to set on your RS-
485 baudrate, it is recommended that
the the Equivalent bitrate is higher than
the RS-485 baudrate.
• Receiver Sensitivity: (Automatically calculated)
• RS-485 Baudrate: 9600, 115200 (default)
o Must match the comport of you PC and
other slave you wish to connect to the
JW 4110L.
• RS-485 Address: 1
o The RS-485 Modbus address if you wish
to poll this device, must be unique on
the network
• Modbus RTU Data Filter Function: Leave
unchecked
• Enable RS-485 Bias Voltage: Leave unchecked
• Turn off the "Status" Light indicator: Leave
unchecked
• Turn off the "Power" Light indicator: Leave
unchecked
Unit A RF Settings
• Receive Packet
o Address base
filtering: Group Only
o Node Address: 1 (Must be
unique in network,
suggested to follow RS-485
address)
o Group Address: 88(Must
match rest of devices in the
network to communicate)
• Transmit Packet
o Target Address Type: Group
o Node Address: 2 (Does not
matter in this Group design)
o Group address: 88 (Must
match rest of devices in the
network to communicate)
• Packet Verify Code: 0x68 (Must
match rest of devices in the
network to communicate)
