IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
1. The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
3. To reduce the risk of electric shock of injury to persons, make sure unit is switch
to o position and unplugged from electrical outlet before cleaning.
4. Do not leave the fan running unattended.
5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
service agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
6. This fan is not for external use.
DISPOSAL - Do not dispose of electrical appliances as
unsorted municipal waste, use separate collection facilities.
Contact you local government for information regarding the
collection systems available. If electrical appliances are
disposed of in landlls or dumps, hazardous substances can
leak into the groundwater and get into the food chain,
damaging your health and well-being.
RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION:
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of re, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Never insert ngers, pencils or any other object through the grille when fan is
running.
2. Disconnect fan when moving from one location another.
3. Disconnect fan when removing grilles for cleaning.
4. Be sure fan is on a stable, even surface when operating to avoid overturning.
5. DO NOT use fan in window. Rain may create an electrical hazard. Do not leave
the fan operating adjacent to an area where water has been collected to avoid
the potential of electrical hazard.
6. Do not leave the appliance running or operable in a place where young
children could have access to without supervision.
INTRODUCTION:
The Desk Fan features three speeds, a swivel action head giving a smooth oscilla-
tion action along with low noise levels, low electrical usage, reliability with safety,
while still providing ecient air ow.
OPERATION
The on/o switch is incorporated in the rotary switch in the motor housing.

• Theheadofthefancanbeadjustedupordown,todothisloosentheadjusting
knob, adjust the fan to the desired angle, to secure tighten the adjusting knob.
ASSEMBLY:
If your fan comes ready assembled ignore this part.
1. Remove the parts from the packing. Separate the front and rear guard if they
are connected.
2. Set the rear grille in the proper position with handle up.
3. Screw on plastic nut tightly to attach grille.
4. Loosen the set screw on the blade, slide the blade onto the shaft of the motor,
tighten the set screw onto the at of the shaft to secure the blade. Ensure that
the blade does not foul the guards.
5. Assemble the front guard to the rear guard. Tighten the connecting screw and
nut, secure the retaining clips.
ASSEMBLY DIAGRAM:
NOTE: Some interference may be heard over some radios, when switching speeds,
this is normal for this type product.

THERMAL CUT-OUT DEVICE
A Thermal cut-out device was mounted in the motor. When overheats due to
various reasons, the temperature of the motor reaches the fusing point, it will cut o
automatically, make the fan safe eciently. When the cut-out is fused, the fan should be
eliminated trouble and replace a new cut-out before the fan is used again.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Be sure to unplug the fan from electrical supply source before cleaning.
2. Plastic parts should be cleaned with mild soap and a damp cloth or sponge.
Thoroughly remove soap lm with clean water.
3. To disassemble each part, reverse the order of assembly.
