DISASSEMBLY
1) Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring from the front of the cylinder. (Use extreme caution, single acting
models contain springs so the contents may be pressurized.)
2) Remove the rod guide assembly from the body. The rod guide assembly can be discarded.
3) For spring retract models, carefully remove the spring from the rod/piston assembly.
4) Remove the rod/piston assembly from the body.
5) For spring extend models, carefully remove the spring from the body.
6) Remove the piston seal from the piston. The piston seal can be discarded.
REPAIR
1) Lightly lubricate all of the new seals.
2) Install the new rod seal into the new rod guide assembly.
3) Install the new o-ring onto the outside of the new rod guide assembly.
4) Install the new piston seal onto the outside of the piston.
5) For spring retract models, install the spring back onto the rod/piston assembly.
6) Carefully install the rod guide assembly onto the rod/piston assembly. (Use extreme caution, single acting
models contain springs so the contents may be pressurized.)
7) For spring extend models, install the spring back into the piston end of the rod/piston assembly.
8) Install the piston end of the sub-assembly into the body.
9) For single acting models, the sub-assembly may need to be compressed with an arbor press.
10) Using snap ring pliers, install the snap ring back into the snap ring groove. Make sure the snap ring is fully
seated into the groove before pressurizing the cylinder.
