2.PutaZ-Wavecontrollerintoinclusionmode.

3.Insert2AAA-batteries(1,5V)intothebatterycompartmentwiththecorrectpolarity.TheLEDonthedeviceshouldturnON

4.EnterPINnumberintotheZ-Wavecontroller.ThePINnumbercanbefoundonthedevice.Seewhereintheinstallation

guide.

5.TheinclusionprocessshouldbecompletedwhentheLEDstopsblinking

6.Performtestbeforeyouretthebatterycover.SeeHowtotesttheZ-WaveDevice.

AnActionruleneedstobecreatedontheZ-WavecontrollerfortheAlertbuttontocontrolotherdevices.Actionrulesareuser

denedelementsinthecontrollerthatdetermineswhatactionstotakewhenaneventoccurs.TheAlertbuttontriggerstheeventfor

theActionrulewhichthencontrolsotherdevicessuchasplugsordimmers,oractivateanalarm.Analarmistriggeredafterashort

pressoftheAlertbutton.Todisarm,performa10secondlongpress.

•AfteryouhaveincludedthedeviceinthenetworkwiththeZ-Wavecontroller,theAlertbuttonwillsenddataaboutits

batterypowertothecontrollerafterabout2minutes.Afterthat,itwillonlysenddataoncethebuttonispressed.

Z-WaveGroup

ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:

Group1:Associationwith1Controllernode.

Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto

transfercommandsdirectlytoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector

triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.

Note

Association-groupsupportcanvaryamongZ-WaveControllers.TheAXISM5065supportsZ-WaveAssociationGroup1.

Group1commands:

•Whendevicestatusbeingchanged,theunitwillsendNoticationcommandtothenodeofGroup1.

•Upondevicestatusbeingchanged,theunitwillcheckitsbatterystatus.Whenthebatteryleveloftheunitdropstoan

unacceptablelevel,theunitwillemitanoticationreporttothenodesofGroup1.

•WhenyouperformaFactoryResettheunitwillsendaDeviceResetLocallynoticationtothenodeofGroup1.

Group2commands:

•WhentheUpkeyispressed,theunitwillsendaBASICSETcommandwhichcontainsavaluethatisadjustable,tothe

nodesofGroup2.WhentheDownkeyispressed,aBASIC_SETcommandwillalsobesenttothenodesofGrouping2.
