Autoinclusion

ThedetectorsupportstheautoinclusionfeaturewhereitwillautomaticallyenterInclusionmodewhenrstpoweredup.Thiswill

alsoapplywhenpoweredupafterafactoryreset.

1.Carefullyremovethefrontcoverbypullingthebottomofthefrontcover.Thereisalinkbuttonwhichisusedtoputthe

deviceinlearningmode(inclusion/exclusion).

2.PutaZ-Wavecontrollerintoinclusionmode.

3.Insert2AAA-batteries(1,5V)intothebatterycompartmentwiththecorrectpolarity.TheLEDonthedeviceshouldturnON

4.TheinclusionprocessshouldbecompletedwhentheLEDstopsblinking

AsceneneedstobecreatedfortheAlertbuttontocontrolotherdevicesontheZ-Wavecontroller.Scenesareuserdenedelements

inthecontrollerthatdetermineswhatactionstotakewhenaneventoccurs.TheAlertbuttontriggerstheeventfortheScene

whichthencontrolsotheractivationdevicessuchasplugsordimmers,orperhapssetanalerttoalarmorDisarmmode.Analarmis

triggeredafterashortpress.Todisarm,performa10secondslongpress.

•AfteryouhaveincludedthedeviceinthenetworkwiththeZ-Wavecontroller,theAlertbuttonwillsenddataaboutits

batterypowertotheGatewayafterabout2minutes.Afterthat,itwillonlysenddataoncethebuttonispressed

ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:

Group1:Associationwith1Controllernode.

Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto

transfercommandsdirectlytoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector

triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.

Group1commands:

•Whendevicestatusbeingchanged,theunitwillsendNoticationcommandtothenodeofGroup1.

•Upondevicestatusbeingchanged,theunitwillcheckitsbatterystatus.Whenthebatteryleveloftheunitdropstoan

unacceptablelevel,theunitwillemitanoticationreporttothenodesofGroup1.

•WhenyouperformaFactoryResettheunitwillsendaDeviceResetLocallynoticationtothenodeofGroup1.

Group2commands:

•WhentheUpkeyispressed,theunitwillsendaBASICSETcommandwhichcontainsavaluethatisadjustable,tothe

nodesofGroup2.WhentheDownkeyispressed,aBASIC_SETcommandwillalsobesenttothenodesofGrouping2.
