Warm-up
Itwilltakethemotionsensorapproximately2minutestowarmupafterthebatteryisinserted.DuringthisperiodtheLEDbehindthe
lenswillturnon.WhentheredLEDturnsoff,thewarm-upprocedureiscompletedandthedeviceisreadytodetect.
ThiswillnotaffecttheInclusion/Exclusionprocess.
Afteryouremovethebatteries,wait5secondsbeforeyouretthem.
Quicktest
1.Ifthetamperswitchisnotpressedafterinclusion,thedevicewillenter“Testmode”toallowyoutotestthedevice
beforeitismountedonthewall.
2.Ifmovementisdetectedduring“Testmode”,theLEDonthemotionsensorwilllightuponceindicatingthattheunitis
workingproperly.Retriggertimeisabout5sec.
3.Toexit“Testmode”andenternormalmode,simplypressthetamperswitchformorethan10seconds.
4.WhenthePIRistriggeredduringnormalmodetheredLEDwillnotlightup,andretriggertimeisbasedonasetupvalue.

Important!MakesureyouhavecreatedaZ-Wavecontroller-eventlinkedtothebattery-statussignal.Thatwayyouwill
getanoticationoraLEDindicationwhenadevicerunsonlowbatterypower.

Z-WaveGroup
ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:
Group1:Associationwith1Controllernode.
Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto
transfercommandsdirectlytoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector
triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.
Note
Association-groupsupportcanvaryamongZ-WaveControllers.TheAXISM5065supportsZ-WaveAssociationGroup1.
Group1commands:
WhenthedeviceispoweredupandalreadyisapartofaZ-Wavenetwork,theunitwillsendaNoticationReportto
thenodeinGroup1.
Whenthedetectorsensesamovement,theunitwillsendaNoticationReporttothenodesofGroup1.Oncethe
movementisstopped,aNoticationReportwillbesentagaintoGroup1.
Whenthedetector’sstatusischanged,thedevicewillcheckitsbatterystatussimultaneously.Ifthebatteryleveldropsto
anunacceptablelevel,thedevicewillemitaBatteryreporttothenodesofGroup1.
WhenyouperformaFactoryReset,theunitwillsendDeviceResetLocallyNoticationtothenodeofGroup1.
Group2commands:
Whenthedetectoristriggered,theunitwillsendBASIC_SETcommandwhichcontainsavaluetothenodesofGroup2.
