M9/M11 Adapter Kit [9A586003]

Intended Use
To direct the steam & used water from the M9/M11 series sterilizers to a
VistaCool Thermal Reduction System when the operator does not wish
to recirculate water used in the sterilization process.
Adapter Kit Installation
WARNING
Disconnect all electrical power to the unit,
and allow it to cool before removing any of the
unit’s covers or making any repairs. Failure to comply
with these instructions could result in serious personal
injury.
Step 1: Remove Covers / Disconnect Fan
A) Unplug sterilizer power cord.
B) Remove RH side panel.
C) Tag / disconnect wiring from AC inlet.
D) Tag / disconnect wiring from fan.
E) Remove back panel.
F) Remove “knock-out”.
G) Install snap bushing.

REMOVE
Step 2: Install Plumbing / Back Panel
A) Remove tube connecting internal reservoir.
B) Install 90° tubing as shown.
C) Install back panel. (see Note)
D) Install female connector and 90° elbow fitting.
Note: End of 90° tubing must protrude into the snap bushing in back panel.
Step 3: Connect Wiring
A) Connect wiring to fan.
B) Connect wiring to AC inlet.

Equipment Alert
VistaCool Thermal Reduction tank must be placed below
the level of the sterilizer.
Assure tubing from sterilizer to VistaCool tank is not kinked or restricted.
If necessary, cut tubing to shorten. (Straight cuts will prevent leakage).
Step 4: Position / Connect VistaCool Tank
A) Position tank per VistaCool Installation Instructions.
B) Insert one end of teflon tubing into 90° elbow fitting
on sterilizer.
C) If necessary, cut tubing to required length to reach
from sterilizer to VistaCool tank.

Step 6: Position / Connect VistaCool Tank
A) Insert other end of teflon tubing into the straight cooling coil
fitting(s) on top of the cooling coil(s) modified in previous step.
B) Run cycle while checking for leaks.
C) Install RH side panel / secure with screws.
(Back lip of side panel must be outside of the back panel).
Step 5: Modify Cooling Coil for (M9 & M11 Sterilizer)
A) Select Cooling Coil(s) to be used with the M9 or M11 Sterilizer
and remove from the VistaCool tank by rotating counter-clockwise.
B) Locate pilot hole mark on plastic cap and using a 3/32” drill
bit provided in the kit. Drill hole straight into cap as shown.
C) Make sure drilled hole is free of debris.
D) Fill the VistaCool tank with water and screw the Cooling Coil
into the tank by turning clockwise until it is tight.
